    Bilic won’t walk. He won’t get a better job than West Ham, IMO. He hasn’t done enough.

    Whilst I respect your opinion I have to disagree purely based on my aspirations for the club which I wonder whether Slav and the 2 Davids can take us to. ;ok

    You only have to read the comments from the owners of Leicester after sacking their manager to see what they expect and surely we are bigger than them?

    I don't think we're going to get anyone better than Bilic after S&G made such a mess of the Carvalho thing, who'd want to come here and have to work with them?

    And unless the Yank is moving to buy them out we are going to have the same owners for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks for ignoring the only serious part of my reply. Why are Leicester bigger than us? One season doesn't erase all previous history surely! Even my friends who are Leicester fans don't believe they are the bigger club. ;ok

    When their new owner bought them in June last year he said his first priority was to get back into the Premier League, get into Europe and be bigger than Real Madrid.

    He has ambition. They finished 13th.

    What is a 'Big' club anyway?

    I have always supported West Ham because they are West Ham not because they are 'bigger' (or not) than others.

    Would I like them to be more successful?

    Of course, but would they then be West Ham?

    The Talksport list doesn't give the formula they used to calculate the positions

    re. criteria, yes... I think any claims that this club is 'bigger' than that club is pointless without specifying some kind of criteria for the calculation.

    I'm interested that you like 2 different methods. And I notice that Wikilist is based just on 'honours won' while the Talksport list basically uses the wiki list and adds some other factors. Including number of 'followers' on various social media accounts ;doh

    I have to admit I do find it a bit disconcerting that on a forum for West Ham fans I am being asked to produce evidence to support a claim that we are bigger than another club. I could understand it a bit more if I was having a debate with a supporter of another club but why on here? ;ok

    Why would football fans as standard have to hold the belief their club is bigger than another?

    The whole ‘mine’s bigger than yours’ seems a bit childish, to be honest.

    Size, relative size compared to another club - just doesn't factor in at all to why I love West Ham. I'll still support no matter how big or small they become. I know other people care more about that sort of thing. Fair enough. We are all fans, but for different reasons.

    Also, fortune, your claim about West Ham being bigger than Leicester was the basis for a judgement about the respective owners' ambitions. So really I was getting at the point that for someone to accept and agree with that conclusion, they'd have to agree with the premise. Which was, in your own words, just a personal opinion ;ok

    And, as a somewhat tangential comment, I like to see evidence to support any claim. No free pass from me just because the claim flatters West Ham. But I am quite argumentative by nature ;biggrin #bolshy
