    7 points?

Blimey I'm not thinking that far ahead. Right now the only team I'd fancy us taking something off is Boro but sadly we've already played them twice
  • When you don't sign a striker, don't complain when you can't score.
  • Yes twist but the manager said he was happy with what he had? ;hmm

Besides you could bring in messi Suarez and neymar but if you still ship 3 or more a game you aren't going to get many points
  • We had 2 chances to get a point and failed...
    Another sad weekend ...
  • Their first goal, Obiang was caught in possession, we then had 2-3 chances to get the ball back but lacked the desire. Has been a recurring theme.
  • Another weekend where I'm down in the dumps. Thank God it's internationals next week.
  • I think Randolph's continual presence in the team must be in doubt now. Too many errors.
  • Hamstew ;ok
Also down, March has been a bad month for us....
We had our chances to get something , but the fact that we are giving away goals left right and centre is a downer....
  • Proper unchuffed with the first half display.

Pretty chuffed with the 2nd half.

Unchuffed on balance, but at least they gave us a performance worth watching in the 2nd half.

    coyi ;scarf
  • Trouble is we start every game with a handicap of minus 1 or 2. Today we were 2-0 down before a lot of people had found their seats.
  • I hate it as I love him but I don't think Bilic can't take us forward. ;sofa
  • Twist

We scored two goals (again) and gave away three (again.)

Not sure I'd be blaming the lack of a striker for our troubles atm.
  • I take virtually nothing from the second half performance because because the game was lost after 5 minutes.

No good blaming our strikers - all strikers will score, miss and have some saved. What are they expected to do when given a mountain to climb by the shambolic defence.

Each to their own. I enjoyed it. I like it when I can watch us and enjoy it, even if we lose. (Though obvs. I'd prefer us to win.)
  • Good job you can enjoy it when we lose Grey because I think you've got at least 6 more enjoyable occasions out of our last 9 fixtures.

Sorry grey, but I can't enjoy a match we lose. I awaiting a price for my soul as that appears to be the only way this club is going to go in the direction I want it to. ;ok

    Only six Thorn!
  • Yes I'll go with six as I can't see us getting anything from Liverpool, Spurs or Everton at home and Arsenal, Stoke or Burnley away.
Leaves us Swansea home and Sunderland and Hull away to get something.
  • I know it's obvious to say but that stadium is still a huge albatross around our neck. Completely soulless in all respects and the players can feel it, I'm certain.
  • Ridiculous to blame the stadium. The stadium doesn't make players make stupid defensive mistakes or leave players unmarked in the 6 yard box.

I didn't say I enjoy watching us lose. Why would you suggest that I did?

I see your point, G. Randolph has to be dropped IMO. Conceding 3 goals every game doesn't help
  • Grey I didn't mean you enjoy watching us lose but if you enjoy watching us play even if we lose then I think you've got 6 more games like today to come ie enjoy but lose.
  • Bournemouth have now gone above us and after we've played Arsenal we could well be 15th or even 16th. We need to win at Hull

Grey, I think that you have to admit Thorn has not drawn an unreasonable inference.
"Even if" implies "in some moment of time (albeit unknown)", just as "when" can be interpreted similarly.

  • Someone else's turn to do the match thread...

We'll run out of people at this rate ;whistle
  • We've conceded 103 goals in 67 league games under Bilic

For all the good stuff last season he's never truly sorted our defence out, we had a little run with the draws last season but that was it

  • NE

If you are prepared to ignore punctuation, you might draw that conclusion, but that would assume you were more interested in making a point rather than taking the sense of what was written.

Think we missed Noble tbh ;whistle
  • I think only Lanzini, Byram and Ayew came out of that with any credit. Mousaka had a decent cameo but the rest were poor. It's time for Randy to go and Bilic needs to pull his socks up.
  • I might allow Randy might possibly have done better with the 2nd (I'd need to see it again), but to blame him for all the gaols we concede is simplistic in the extreme imo.
