I have liked Nuno and even though things haven't gone right since he has been here I think he has worked wonders. I think in general we are more organised, have more fight and togetherness and he is getting the best from players that often are not Premier standard. Many of our bad results have been down to ridiculous personal errors which have sabotaged performances which should have warranted points.
Todibo is looking a different player Mavro is more confident and playing as well as he could Potts has arrived under him and playing well Fernandes plays with confidence and showing up more each game Summerville looks like the player we hoped.
Kilman is still poor and I had hoped he may revive him back to his Wolves form
Tatty and Pablo haven't set the world alight but have arrived very motivated and with bags of fight in them.
Will he stay or go.... He sadly didn't do what was required of him... I'm 50/50 whether he should stay or not, or would he want to stay anyway... Lincoln away here we come.....
He is probably better than anyone we will attract in the Championship, but he is in my view responsible for both our revival but also our failure to see it through.
I think the moment we got two points clear he changed the way we got there and was more cautious again, which saw us squander our momentum.
I don't think he got the best out of us. Some strange line ups and substitutions. It's not enjoyable for me watching us play deep and concede so much space and possession. Little coordinated pressing, too much backing off. Most loose balls seem to be picked up by opposition players with time to take a touch.
I want Nuno to stay ,Not as if he had a clean slate to start with ,Also he knows the club now And the players he would keep if he had a choice .After all we did get 39 points not like Burnley or Wolves .No body else I really fancy anyway
I'm with steve on this. I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes, but he did half the season with someone else's squad and things improved hugely after he had the January transfer window. He got 38 points from 33 games (I think) which most seasons would be enough to keep us up without the initial 5 games that Potter had in charge.
I’d like to keep him. I think he got us fighting in a way that lifted the home fans after more than a year when it had felt so dead at home. It didn’t always work, he didn’t get things right all the time but I think he did ok overall. I wouldn’t be surprised if we make a really bad decision if we have to replace him.
I'd rather someone new and attacking but honestly if we wanna go back up then Nuno is probably the best option to us
He made some awful calls but that happens, best the reason we had a chance to stay up
Our squad was woefully short of being good enough to stay up, he almost did it with a squad that essentially wasnt his at all as he only.got one (panicked) Jan window where we were desperate
I feel like Nuno had two bad phases. One where he made those weird lineups using the inverted fullbacks, then another towards the end where I think he lost composure and changed things that work in desperation to get those final points. The team that played today was pretty much the one picking up points before the last few weeks and should’ve started last weekend.
Outside of that we were pretty good at times and not sure we were actually that defensive. Last time around we went for the safe choice with Big Sam and I feel like Nuno could do a similar kind of job.
Comments
does he remind anyone else of Slav, in his intonation and mannerisms?
(except for 'an all dat')
Or is it just me?
Perhaps today's happy happy joy joy made him come across as more amiable.
