  • We’re gonna win 5-4
  • Guilherme on for Kudus. Füllkrug was going off too, but gets a stay of execution with the goal.
  • My comms guy just said ' it's going to be a different finish to the game now' 😆
  • Pleased for Fullkrug, he has always put in a shift and has had little to go on, well seen by Soucek and well taken

Marriage has changed you, a statman would never say that 😂🤣😂.
  • Team is mentally checked out, too many goals being shipped and have been shipped by this team for far too long.

I’m a dreamer now. Stats be damned!

    (I don’t mean that)

This has gotta be J Lo's last game....PLEASE.....His tactics from playing out from the back simply does not work with our players, it's his fault....

Sounds like a player issue rather than a manager issue. Should he just resort to hoof ball. What is a new manager going to do if our players can’t pass or defend?
The players are being told to play a certain way, that way isn't really working as goals are being shipped by the load, so his tactics are not working, hoofing up front, you said that, not me...!!

It does kinda feel something like that. I'm not really one for quickly calling for a manager's head, and there's little shame in losing to Liverpool and Man City, but something clearly isn't working at the club.

  • Summerville and Kudus have both been very poor with their finishing this season
  • A chance for Summerville after good work from Füllkrug from a ball from Paqueta, but the shot is wild, perhaps typical of a player a bit short of confidence.
  • A header by Soucek goes just wide when maybe he should have done better.
  • Looked to me like Summerville slipped.

Only switched on at 60 mins but Paqueta actually has looked better so far than most of the past year
  • Squealish coming on
  • Ings on for Alvarez.

Wants to look like someone Pep might want to sign still
  • Ings on, neither Kudus or Alvarez shook J Lo's hand as they went off, may be nothing, but for me, something isn't right...
Paq has been okay today, a bit wasteful, but he's tried, poor defending/goalkeeping and poor finishing has cost us dearly today....sadly, it sounds pretty familiar though...

  • Honestly, I feel like the performance hasn’t been bad. It’s just comically weak defending nearly every time we step on a pitch. Part of me wants to say that’s not the managers fault, but if you can’t stamp out the mistakes as the boss then you have to carry the can.
  • I don’t understand why we don’t cross the ball more when we have a big CF on the pitch. Coufal is the only one that tries to cross the ball.
  • It's a shame that Fullkrug was injured so early in the season as I think he'll come good if he's played to his strengths.
  • 90 mins for Füllkrug, first time this season in the PL, maybe in any game. I hope he comes through it ok, given that his injury is one that needs management.

No matter how we play, if you defend as badly as we do, with no signs of improving, it’s not going to end well.

I don’t believe the current management can plug this defence.
  • At least the team have had a go at the most undercooked Man City team since 2015. But its still very much League one taking on a PL team in the FA Cup , plucky but no quality.

Hard to see where who is going to drag us over the line this season. Think it comes down to us and Everton on who may occupy the final spot.

Wolves have Cunha, Ipswich have a team pulling together that could drag them over.

Palace look hot and cold but will have enough moments to get them over the line.

Leicester and Southampton look destined to go, both have just been horrible this season.
  • You think we’re getting relegated then?🤷🏻‍♂️
  • Becoming a bit of a mantra but today it really feels true, the history books will say 4-1 but it does not tell the story of the game, a more realistic scoreline could easily have been a much closer loss of 4-3.

The result itself is probably fair as if it were closer, it is probable that City could step up a gear but it feels very flattering nonetheless.

Against Liverpool we went in at half time 3-0 down and that seemed harsh and the contest was over as Liverpool dominated the second half and we were no longer in it, here, I think we actually competed throughout the 90 mins but if you do not take your chances whilst giving up chances at the back, there can only be one outcome.

    Ho hum
  • The board have to ask themselves; can they see Lop being in charge in January 2026? If the answer is ‘no’, then (as jay says) they may as well change it now as there does seem to be an air of inevitability about it all.
  • On paper it looks like a routine thrashing for City against us, it wasn’t. We deserved better than that from that performance and can take heart from it.
  • Bizarrely we had 14 shots to their 7 but only 4 on target. All 7 of theirs were on target.
