4 - Even so, Europe at our level seems to be only about a 10%+boost to finances. I haven't seen any Champions League figures, which I assume is significantly more lucrative.

My gut feeling was that the Champions League dwarfs the Europa and the Europa Conference Leagues, a quick google found these figures although I can't vouch for their accuracy:

€2.032 billion for the Champions League and European Super Cup teams
€465 million for the teams that are going to compete in the Europa League
€235 million for the teams that compete in the UEFA Conference League

Obviously dreadfully sad news that 5 people died and a sixth was seriously injured in a coastguard plane taking aid to those in Japan affected by the yesterday's earthquake, but how amazingly that all 379 passengers and crew in the aircraft, an Airbus A350, that collided with the coatguard plane survived, especially given that it burst into flames as soon as it hit the runway and was still travelling at speed at the time.

  • I'm not a big darts fan, but it's hard to avoid what Luke Littler is doing at the world champs atm. Only 16 years old (although he looks much older), he's taken the competition by storm and has just won his semi-final 6-2.
  • These young whippersnappers making a mockery of a hard game
  • Looks like there was a wicket fest in South Africa against India. 20 wickets gone by 2 o'clock.
  • West Germany star of the late 60s and 70s Franz Beckenbauer has passed away aged 78:
