the infamous 100m figure reached, i suspect there might be wrangling on the breakdown of the transfer fee installments coupled with further addons to bring the deal in line with (Bellinghams 85+25 for 110m) so maybe a few more Addons to up the deal. But looks like we could be reaching a conclusion.
Will be very interesting to see if City / Man U or whoever come over the top of that offer if true.
There’s a nice bottle of brandy in my local offie for 180 quid. I’m going to offer them 18 quid a year over the next 10 years. I’m sure they’ll accept it.
If that's true that's 20k per year(i'm bright ). I'm sorry but we are going round in circles with Arsenal. Lets see if citeh come back with something or the other alternative is we keep Dec for another season.
I think it's crazy to go to Arsenal. They've had their best season in years and years and won nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped out of the top four next season, with or without Rice.
Arsenal obviously have a better chance of winning things than us, and he'd get to play in the Champions League, but for Rice to not hold out for a City, Madrid, Bayern Munich, or even Chelsea, Liverpool or Man United, seems mad to me.

I think it's clear he really, really wants to stay in London. Who are we to say he shouldn't value family and friends more than a better chance to win stuff (even though he has gone on record as saying he wants to win stuff, but he also added that obviously all players want to win stuff)? It's all about priorities, and it seems that, at this stage of his life (and with a partner and young baby), he's prioritising friends, family, and possibly his partner's wishes, over a move to a currently bigger club than Arsenal.
It may be that he genuinely buys into Arteta's vision, and they have got some good, youngish players there to continue building around, and it may be that he sees himself as a bigger cog there than he would be at an already all conquering Man City, but the long and the short of it is that he'll earn more money with this contract than he'll ever need and so maybe he is placing a higher value on the intangibles of being close to friends and family than others would do in his situation.
Injury aside he would need to really drop his form to not get Arsenal a good chunk of their money back if not more if sold in three years time as he will only be 27.
The fee for Rice is really just lent from the balance sheet but if someone bids silly money for Kane they are getting little or nothing back in three or four years time.
I think with the additions of Havertz and Rice (maybe Timber too) Arsenal will have enhanced their squad and they'll definitely be in the top 4. Last seasons performances were really good up until near the end of the season. They also have Trossard for the tart of the season plus they barely had Smith Rowe available. Jesus being out for ages didnt help nor did Saliba. They basically ran out of steam and maybe it was experience too when it got to the last knockings. I believe Arsenal will be better than last season nd more able to cope.

I reckon there’ll be top four but not challenge for the title
