Other matches Sat 13th, Sun 14th and Mon 15th May - Happy Paraguayan Independence Day!

A big weekend at the top and bottom of the table

Newcastle visit Elland Road Saturday lunchtime. Newcastle have lost two of their last six away games, at the Etihad and Villa Park but won the other four (Forest, us, Brentford and Everton) scoring 11 but have failed to keep a clean sheet, conceding one goal in all four wins

Leeds have scored one goal in every game for the last six but they have lost five, drawn one and conceded 20

Prediction: Leeds will score one goal and Newcastle will score more. A lot more.

Later today Forest, who have lost seven consecutive away games in the Prem, have a trip to Chelsea who haven't won at home in the Prem since they beat Leeds at the beginning of March.

Villa have won the last five home games, Spurs last away win was Fulham in January and their only away draws since then were against Saints and 10-man Everton. Come on Villa!

Tomorrow City visit Everton and Arsenal host Brighton.

Then on Monday, Liverpool are at Leicester. It will not be pretty...

  • Feels strange to have 6 matches today with no late fixture. Leeds v Newcastle is the early game.
  • Leeds 1-0 up
  • That's not good
  • If Leeds should win today, I'd personally play our strongest team tomorrow to try get at least a point, but long way to go in this game, come on you TOON.
  • Talk about Newcastle bottling top 4
  • Penalty to Leeds

Bamford is a terrible football player
  • I’ve not looked this up but it seems Bamford is bang out of form so shouldnt be on pens
  • I thought the same .just knew he was going to miss it
  • This game is crazy 🤯
  • Newcastle pen
  • And now Newcastle have a penalty
  • Huge turn around thanks to Bamford's miss.
  • What should have been 2-0 is now 1-1, Big Sam is going to get his hairdryer out and I would not want to be Bamford at HT
  • Second time I think I have cheered a Wilson goal =)

    That aged well.
  • Firpo a bit lucky there, both feet off the ground as he caught the Newcastle player, only a yellow.

Gotta be another Newcastle penalty, surely.

Ref sent to the monitor by VAR
  • Indeed it is

Robles, having just been booked for delaying the penalty, continued to do the exact same thing; ref shoulda been firm and given him a second yellow and sent him off imo.

  • Another one straight down the middle, if the keeper just stands his ground…….
  • Ridiculous offside decision then, the Lino was right in line and he was clearly off just shy of the half way line, let the game go on to the inevitable “goal” and only then was it pulled back.

    Totally ridiculous

Grrrr, Leeds pull level, 2-2, horrible deflection.
  • If Leeds win that would be annoying. Draw is fine.
  • Leeds will have the momentum- expect a hectic last 10 mins
  • Can see them winning 3-2
