So a 4-2 win tonight. Goals for Bowen, Benrahma and Ekwah, plus an OG. Our U21s actually looked a lot better than our first teamers, IMO. Benrahma looked very lively and full of confidence; not sure if that had anything to do with the fact that Moyes wasn't pitchside, or because of the level of opposition.
"It was a cold night, as you know and the boys have only been back three or four days, so hopefully no damage done tonight.
Maxi is coming back and has had a little tweak but he’s not too far away. Tomáš was fine yesterday and trained really well, but has just slept funny and had a stiff lower back, nothing more than that, so it’s just precautionary as they’ve only been back three or four days so we have to look after them.
Nayef has made contact with us already and fingers crossed it’s not as bad as it looked. We saw he reached for his groin but he’s quite happy tonight (after Morocco’s World Cup round of 16 win over Spain) so hopefully he’ll have it assesses and have a scan in the morning and, fingers crossed, it’s not too bad."
Still going at a good rate on the first day of the second Test in Pakistan, but losing wickets this time, 228-6 atm. All six wickets to a Pakistan spinner on debut; really not sure we've got the balance right in our team though, as Pakistan went with 2 seamers and we've got 4 if you include Stokes, with only one full-time spinner and a bit of part-time spin from Jacks and Root.
He's got the first 7 wickets now. Obviously we'll need to see Pakistan bat, but there seems to be an awful lot of spin for the first day of a Test Match. Not as bad as the pitches when we were last in India, some of which weren't fit for a pub game let alone a Test Match, but we'll have to see how the match progresses when Pakistan bat.
281 all out, all 10 wickets to spin, although the debutant couldn't add to his 7. A nice cameo from Mark Wood, 36 not out off only 27 balls and adding 36 with Anderson for the last wicket.
Very good morning for England sees Pakistan reduced from142-2 to 202 all out, giving England a healthy first innings lead of 79 in what looks to be certain to be a low scoring game.
Unfortunately Crawley attempted a suicidal single to run himself out, and then Jacks, in at 3 in place of Pope (presumably because Pope kept wicket when we were in the field) had a bit of a slog at a ball that bounced and turned and we were reduced to 25-2.
Hopefully we can consolidate as the afternoon session progresses and build a match-winning lead 🤞

'He (the source) said: “Aguerd’s is a low grade thigh tear which in reality is a one to three week lay-off.
However, the fear is they rush him back for the weekend and that can make the injury a big tear which can be six weeks.'
