And that is why Cresswell is poor when playing as a LB. Looks down the line and keeps Abraham onside for the 2nd and actually stopped and looked as Abraham went past him for the 3rd.
Moyes takes the blame for me. Wrong start with Noble and he has persevered with Haller for too long. We lack a goal scorer but he didn't really give us a chance tonight. The work rate was good and we were on top for periods but no teeth in front of goal.

And we always knew our season would be undone by injuries to key players; Masuaku & Antonio.
Losing Masuaku means we have to go to a back four, which reduces Cresswell’s ability as a player by having to move to LB
Our season isn't undone. What you talking about? And we haven't really missed Masuaku. Mistake tonight was taking Fornals off and leaving Noble on.
But playing a back four now for the next series of games will impact our results
Ogbonna is better in a back 3, as is Balbuena, as is Cresswell; now we have Og & Balbuena in a back two & Cresswell at LB. That will impact our points haul over Xmas.
Disappointing we didn’t score, but it wasn’t really a 3-0 either. Didn’t get Behrama into the game and strange to keep Noble on - just lost atheliticism in midfield.
We got what we deserved from that. Our defence was all over the place, midfield was pedestrian and attack was non existent. I said before kick off Noble was a mistake but then most of them were.
We should play without a forward haller just does not work in this system far too easy for opposition defenders and we don’t have the players for his style . Maybe benrahma floating around upfront in a free role linking up with Bowen . Basically something different we rely on set plays for our goals too much
We didn't much of our possession and had zero shots at goal. Never really looked like scoring. Haller was ineffective, showed poor first touch and had no pace. We would have got a point with a striker. Anyone wants to buy Haller? Hope Antonio can play in the next game and also Benrahma from the start.
Moyes picked the wrong line up? Played well in parts but Chelsea had someone to put the ball in the net. Have to see what the January transfer window brings to strengthen the squad. Hopefully we can beat Brighton, which we have recently struggled to do, before the two tough looking away games.
Cant see how we can continue with Haller. He does not use his strength, passing is weak, does not win the headers he should, he is slow and still only half heartedly closes players down. If we only buy one person in the transfer window it has to be a mobile CF
You'd almost think that Haller is playing in a way so as not to get injured for the January transfer window and is hoping that Frankfurt will buy him back for half of what we paid - and then they'd be paying too much.
I see Comedy Hour has started on here again! A striker can't score without any service. Mendy didn't have a save to make tonight that is a stat we should be getting more concerned about not so much how our centre forward played.

Surely that goal shouldn't have stood.
Commentators not even mentioned it
A decent forward & we get something out of this
Flattering scoreline but we have not defended well today & Haller is like playing with 10 men

Oh, wait...............

A lot of players are not looking the same.
We have not defended like that with the back five. Today it was too easy.
Wrong formation, wrong starting 11 and wrong substitutes in my view. Chelsea were not great and we could have got something.
What an athlete Abraham is!
"A striker can't score without any service"
Fortunately (see what I did there ) Antonio hasn't heard about that.
