  • I don’t even bother checking transfer news now
  • Tarkowski out of the Burnley team with a Toe injure,,,,,,You cant make this stuff up ,Even talk of us signing him gives him an injure
  • Me thinks he’s Leicester bound to be honest

The player has simply stated he wants to play champions league/ at top level etc etc..

So : if he joins, he's just after money, because we all know the next level is a long way off

Or: Like many have stated, we made such an effort to get the player we want but our offers are way short of the asking price, and there was never any chance the player would actually be sold at the price we are prepared to offer/ the player would never join anyway...but we gave it a shot.....

    So transparant.....it's beyond a joke...Or maybe I'm just paranoid>>>>>>>!!!!
  • Our negotiations really are top drawer:

    £27m? No, we want £50m

£30m? No, we want £50m, cheers

    £31m?

Even if we met the £50m release clause and offered Tarkowsk mega wages I don't think he'd consider us "top level".

Leicester City have a better chance, they had a £40m offer turned down last year and they've got Europa League (group stage) this season.

He's not coming, they need to get over it and spend the money elsewhere
  • The fourth bid will be £29m
  • Jones on loan 😂😂🙄🙄
  • They don’t like it up em

Mr Moyes goes of to town on the 8.21,
He comes back each evening without signing anyone

He's not coming, they'll say they tried, they'll not spend it at all.

Cus we know our transfer windows done
  • I think we may also suffer from the perception many have of us at present of a team in regression under these owners. I think it doesn't encourage players like Tokowlski.

If you compare us with Villa who have spent some money and look progressive at least regard aspiration, as they have just persuaded their Talisman player, their Rice, in Greilish to commit to a new five year deal, You can see a player thinking there is a a reason to be here.

I would have liked us to publicly state that he was not for sale as we were building around him when the Rice rumours emerged and kept Diangana and talked him up in the same way. Then we may also look like a club not just hoping to avoid relegation four years after their supposed new dawn.

    That’s great

Villa spent a lot of money last season and just dodged relegation.
  • Luckily for Villa they had an easy last game

  • Re Tarkowski - all been said before on here, but this is getting stupid now. Any remaining support/ sympathy for the manager and board are being totally destroyed!

  • The Times reporting that we've been told by FIFA to pay another £5.2m for Haller. Didn't they say we'd paid it all off?

Can't read the whole thing as its behind the pay wall, anyone else want to have a look?

  • Ha ha

No wonder we cannot buy any more players. We are struggling to pay for the misfits we have already got

I’m sure, however, they will miraculously find the monies to pay for their next interest instalment
  • Misfits!!!! Everything is going "Pete Tong" with our club. GSB should be sitting very uncomfortably at the moment with what else is going on transfer wise around London. They know we expect a credible response but how can they do this if we have no money. I am not holding my breath as I will fall over.
  • If transfer deals were done in shops, with the likes if Ronaldo and Messi up for sale in Harrods, then we'll probably be looking to do a deal at a car boot.
  • I think the Haller money is a rehash of the previous one. West Ham didn't pay an instalment in May, Eintracht complained to FIFA who have ordered to West Ham to pay it now.
But hey, lets knock West Ham anyway.
  • Mourinho complaining that he has “too many players” now that Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are signing from Real Madrid. Plus they've just had an inquiry for Danny Ings turned down.

Maybe we should offer to help him out by taking one of his spare left backs on loan, I'd happily take Ben Davies, not so keen on Danny Rose. Just being good neighbours, etc.
  • That's odd. Yesterday Dier was complaining they had too many games. With all those players it shouldn't be a problem.
  • Of the two, Dier is definitely more correct. Their schedule is absolutely horrendous
  • alderz, The price of some sort of success but we wouldn’t know anything about that would we. ☹️
  • They played a mickey mouse team yesterday. They have Orient on Tuesday and another mickey mouse team on Thursday. If they want to be considered as a 'Top Six' club then that shouldn't be an issue. Pre emptive excuses always look bad.

They need the money for the interest payments. That's priority number one for the shysters.
  • Nice to have another day of seeing other clubs make signings.
