  • No need to apologise! That’s exactly how I read it too when I saw it on Instagram before I read a little more
  • So sad. Remember his brother playing in the Mark Noble testimonial. He scored a great goal and was very emotional. Like it was meant to be.
  • It looks like Brighton have just took the lead in the "How many times can you hit the woodwork" league.

So unlucky. UTD look dreadful at the back. We have them soon and on today's performance we have to run at them and get width

There is probably now a new, smarter way of playing in the Prem. When in or around the opposition box, try and strike the ball towards someone’s hand or arm - pref someone quite close to you. There’s a very good chance a penalty will arrive via VAR

Baracks, I presume you're watching the Palace game? What a ridiculous decision for Evertons penalty. No comon sense anymore

Yes, and the great Upson has just said exactly the same thing
  • But it's Crystal Palace, so what's the problem? =)
  • They are only not given vs anyone west ham plays against otherwise it’s the rules

  • I had to laugh when I saw this, it reminded me of many years ago when I overheard my wife talking to her friend about me. She said, he gets out of bed and I say good morning all I get in return is a grunt. He puts his dressing gown on and goes into the lounge where he greats the dog with “good morning princess how’s my beautiful girl this morning?” I new she was right in what she said so after that day she not only got a good morning she got a cup of tea in bed.
Sadly, she passed away some 17 years ago, but things like this bring back the wonderful memories I have of our time together.

  • So not only did Pablo play a blinder at Leicester he also won the T20 Blast with Nottingham. ⚽️🏏
  • Winston Reid has recovered from injury at Kansas City, played the full 90 mins against Houston on Sunday, got himself a yellow card (just one of nine yellow cards in the match).

How our south americans have fared some absolute corkers in this list
  • It's an old one but just came across this - the fan who Harry Redknapp brought on in a pre-season game telling his own story.

Please spare a thought for Suarez in these times in which people are losing their jobs, their houses and even some their lives during a pandemic, poor fella was in tears.

Those brutes at Barca made him cry!

  • I mean, even though I didn’t lose my job or anything, if I felt bullied and forced out by my employer I’d probably be a bit upset about it too...

Maybe he should join a union...
  • Onion you say 🤔

Great watch, great guy. I had the pleasure to watch him play
  • IIRC one of his shots from just outside the box, it hit the bar and didn't touch the ground until it had crossed the half way line

When he makes that run down the wing at the start of the clip, is anyone else reminded of Michail Antonio?

    Trevor, me too.
  • Having not seen him play myself, it's rare to see clips of a player from then and think he wouldn't look out of place in today's game.
  • West Ham were the leading club in bringing though black footballers at the time.

On April 1, 1972 manager Ron Greenwood made Football League history when he picked Clyde Best, Ade Coker and Clive Charles to play against Spurs the first three black players to feature together in the same team. The Nigerian international Coker scored in Hammers' 2-0 victory that day.

A similar result next week would go down nicely ...

Unfortunately you can't read the Telegraph unless you subscribe (or take a free trial) but here's the story from the BBc

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54499998

Premier League handout £250m to Football League
Premier League reduced to 18 teams
League Cup and Community Shield scrapped
  • Interestingly West Ham are listed as being a club who will be given ‘special status’ along with Everton, Southampton and the big 6.

No idea what that means or why anybody has special status.
