  • Merry Christmas and a happy new year to one and all - I think that 2019 looks quite promising from a WHU supporters point of view, bring it on....... ;ok
  • OCS, wot, no custard! ;biggrin ;yercoat
  • It's that time of the day when you arrive at the cheese board and port. Tbh, the rest of the day feels like an unnecessary preamble. ;wahoo
  • My mum and I said exactly the same thing ;biggrin
  • Christmas in Sarawak, a longhouse thing with every family (of 34) involved, plus a wedding blessing ceremony and a getting a new job blessing ceremony in two nearby longhouses. My guests & I enjoyed it greatly, very different. And back to Kuching in time to catch West Ham's next game! ;ok
  • I feel like I have eaten my own body weight in food the last few days ;lol
  • Mine has been on all year, I've just put it down to a faulty sensor. ;biggrin
  • There are two things that I daren’t look at right now, one is a scale and the other is my retirement account ;weep
  • There are a few things I wish I could see right now. A serious diet is required in the new year.
  • Join us for dry January. ;weep

  • You don't know what you are missing.

    You lucky things.
  • Tony Gayle commentating on the Spuds game replies to the rumour that Harry Kane may get an OBE for services to football/World Cup:

    (words to the effect of)
"Think it's a bit early in his career to be talking about an OBE. If it's about the World Cup, then the team of '66 should all be Sirs"

The miracle of Christmas, Tony Gayle talking sense. ;lol
  • Even a stopped clock is ....
  • ...but that's one more than Gale. ;biggrin

According to the very most accurate reporting of the Mirror, and relayed via Sky Sports ........... West Ham have offered Nasri a deal to the end of the season

    ;hmm
  • Expat

Which means Pelle has seen enough to ask for it.

Think Pelle deserves a bit of trust, given how much he has improved us this year.

  • No qualms about it if it's what Pelle wants. Given my aimless wanderings in the FF and predictor I sort of think that Pelle may know a bit more than I do

    Just ;biggrin
  • Not my choice but as been said pelle knows best so far so I’d say go along with it
  • The way we are short in the attacking areas with injuries, Nasri could be a very shrewd signing. Yarmolenko and Lanzini will probably miss the vast majority of the rest of the season if not all, Wilshere... who knos, and it seems a lot to rely on Diangana to step up and fill that gap.

Nasri playing behind Arnie / Hernandez in a 4-4-1-1 is an exciting prospect for me.
  • Totally not about football, but I've just read that pork fat is more nutritious than, well, almost anything - 8th in the top 100 nutritious foods.

Oh, joy - I do love a traditional Black Country pork scratching. I wonder if that counts? ;lol
  • God bless my 2nd team.

Love the Laurie Cunningham statue in Coronation Gardens.
  • Spotted among the news this morning - Leroy Rosenior, MBE, Congratulations sir (well, not quite 'sir', but you know what I mean.)

  • Very pleased for Leroy. Great player for us and a top man.
  • I See Leroy a lot on Tv out here, well done to him on his achievement ,
he does a show on Saturdays pre match build up with Don Hutchison called Kick off, hosted by Jonathan Joseph aka DJ Spooney & the lovely Seema Jaswal, Don & Leroy are both a great laugh on the show.... ;ok
  • Just seen this on BBC gossip page.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed he was rushed to hospital following his sacking as Liverpool manager in 2015 because he was "so tense". (The Coaches Voice)
I do feel for him. ;biggrin
  • Little (former Hammer and son of Rob) Olly Lee (now 27) scored the winner in the Edinburgh derby today. Lifetime hero for the Jambos now.
