I have a few questions that I would ask the two daves. Where is the money from the sale of the ground. We are paying a small annual rent etc etc. The tv money is also enormous we always keep hearing that but we never make a large signing etc.
They keep saying they wanted us to move to the New stadium as we need a bigger ground to move on but nothing they have done since moving to the new stadium leads anyone to believe that they have any intention of moving the club forwards as we are really on the same level as all the struggling teams in the Premier league.
To show the fans that the board do want the club to move forwards the board need to make a couple of expensive big name signings but by their actions over the last couple of seasons they really don't seem to have had their heart in it.
This window if you look at the outs and ins really hasn't done anything to move the club forward.
That second team is where the real issue lies. Fonte and rice very questionable at the moment Masuaku byram Noble and fernandes really weak in the Premier league. Carroll and Sakho I don't really need to say anything there and as for Ayew he isn't the player I thought he would be.
So as back up that is a very weak squad.
However if we could put out your first team we could compete but that will only happen very rarely as has been seen over the last couple of seasons.

I don't have all the facts (who does?) and don't quote me on this ;biggrin but as I understand it
38m sale, 11m external bank debt, 15m LLDC, 8m westhamification of OS, 4m SuGo loans
TV money covers about 60-70% of the wages
They said that the move to the LS would over time try and help us compete in order to bridge the gap between us and the top 6?
Sean W is usually more accurate than most I must say.
What did grind my gears though was the four away games where no assistance was offered to fans in terms of travel. At the very least the club could have put on free coaches to the games that should have been played at home.
Whilst those fans will gain later when those games are played at home, it was the fact it was four on the trott.
Spot on Suze and that was part of my point earlier in the week, regardless of the deal with LS185 or whoever, the fans had to travel, nearly a thousand of them to support the boys and got no offer of help, the latest group WHUISA also asked the club and again were refused anything, it's shocking really not even a goodwill gesture nothing, it no wonder so many fans are up in arms right now. The only real way is to speak with your feet, if the Dave's & Brady saw only 25-30k in the ground for PL games they'd certainly take notice.
I saw today that Forbes Value West Ham as at June 2017 as the 15 th most valuable club in the world it's very hard to see why we struggle so badly getting good players in and cannot spend as much as other clubs.
Hutton just because we're the 15th most valuable or richest club, isn't the real story, it doesn't tell you how much cash you have on hand and we know that we've only been able to compete at the level we are now due to payday loan facilities giving us funds to make moves in the transfer market before the TV money and all the other income comes in, but fans don't want to hear that, they see 52k ST holders, 120m TV money and Forbes reports and think/believe we should be spending 50-100m net on transfers, doesn't work like that
Rewind 10 years ago we undermined a manager by selling two players for cash up front to pay our bills / wages as we were essentially skint
Firstly I am disappointed in the club and the transfer window.
The club has sold a vision, one which has not been met and will not be met for some time.
Last summer we bought quantity over quality, this year we bought quality but not enough.
Irrespective of the above, I really want Bilic to do well. Personally I think last year the owners bought a lot of tosh. And this year he has made the point that no one can join without his approval.
Last year it was an impossible job to integrate a dozen new players (no wonder Sakho and others are unhappy). It makes absolute sense for him to refuse any player he didn't want.
Why upset the apple cart?!? Why have to explain to another player why they can't get into the team. Last year was a lose lose for Bilic.
The club didn't back him with Carvalho and of course he said no to anyone else. For Morale purposes he needs people to think they have a chance. The club haven't helped.
Back the team and back Bilic. Let's finish in the top 12 and tell the board to back him.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we finished top 10 and Bilic walked.
Does he mean at all or just on deadline day? Because as far as I am aware we were definitely in talks and had bids rejected in the last couple of weeks. However, there wasn't much to suggest we actually bid on DD. There was in fact a rumour that as we couldn't agree on the fee with Sporting we had an attempt at Gomes of Barca who may have been willing to come on loan but were defeated as it was conditional on Courtinho moving to Barca.
So Sporting actually accepted our original offer for Carvalho yesterday, but it was "too late" for us to conduct a medical?! Clubs were signing players at 1am. How late did they accept the offer?!
"Grzegorz Krychowiak and Renato Sanches were both offered to the manager before their switches elsewhere, but he told us that he is happy with the squad he has.
"As a Board we are behind Slaven, and he believes he has the tools to turn around our form and rectify our disappointing start to the season."
So basically, Sully has absolved himself of any blame. I'm really disappointed with that last paragraph. He has put everything on Bilic here. For me, there should be collective responsibility; we believe that we have the tools to turn this around.
Given that as long as the FA received signed details by all parties that a transfer had been agreed clubs had until 1 am to complete the deal. There were medicals taking place at midnight last night so unless Sporting accepted the offer after 11 pm or close to it there was time to get the deal moving even if it fell through before 1 am. Gomes is a totally different player to Carvalho so wouldn't have been an alternative anyway. Slav says he's happy with the squad he's got but he wasn't saying that after the first three games as he said we desperately need a DM
Carvalho was playing football for Portugal last night until about 10pm.
Don't know what time Sporting Lisbon contacted the club to say they would take the 35m that they had previously rejected, but presumably not in sufficient time to get the player from the stadium to a facility where he could undergo a satisfactory medical exam.
Really botched by Sporting. Maybe they didn't realise what time the window closed (it's still open in Portugal).

Sporting: We want £40m
WHU: Will you accept £35m?
Sporting: No, it's £40m
WHU: £36m?
Sporting: No, we really won't accept anything less than £40m
WHU: ......... £25m...?
;lol

At this rate he'll be playing for Tamlin's Billericay Town soon

We were all sold a dream....
Sporting Lisbon president: "We received no concrete bids for William Carvalho off West Ham or any other club"
It could just be a play on words as in SL didn't see our bid/valuation as "concrete"
However, if we didn't actually bid then what was really going on?

Talk about publicly setting him up for a fall...
If this is true, I'm done with football.
Honestly think he's sharpened the knives here.

Though I'd put good money on it not happening.
So now we go back and get him in January, simple.
Let's see. ;hmm
