  • I’ve seen messi’s goal from a few angles and I’m pretty certain that not at any point did he actually look up to see where the goal was, and yet he still found the corner with his wrong foot. Astonishing
  • I looked at that and I think he did look when the ball came of his thigh. He didn't lift his head but his eyes seemed to look up for a moment.
  • Happy birthday Preston. ;beer ;cake
  • His first touch was ridiculous...
  • Aguero must be sitting there scratching his head and wondering if Higuain is even going to touch the ball. ;hmm
  • Well done ref. VAR shows it and he decides no. Good call. ;clap
  • Exactly how it should work.
  • Argentina looking for an Agueroooo moment.
  • So am I. ;lol
  • Rojoooooo! ;wahoo ;lol
  • Is Maradona off his face?
  • Why, is he sometimes on it then?

Slumped. He’s had a busy day and is all partied out
    ;ok
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes. I still can't predict a winner in a one horse race though. ;lol
  • I feel sorry for Nigeria because Argentina haven't actually offered that much to the tournament.
  • Saturday......france v Argentina could be good, could be an utter bore fest, although it will be a lot of fun.
  • Well one of em have ti step up

    As neither have impressed
  • Great try by Nigeria. This World Cup has shown that there are very few easy games. Asia and Africa are bridging that gap.
  • Side note, I think Drogba is a really good pundit
  • And Zaba ;ok
  • edited June 2018
They both are really able to articulate things that non-pros might not notice, whereas some others just say the obvious lines.
  • Interesting that Mr nice Linekar made a negative comment about Maradona.
  • Biggest question of the night - what on earth is Etebo doing about to start a season in the championship with Stoke
  • Alderz - what we want from pundits is illumination and insight, not a comment you would hear from the bloke down the boozer.
    ;ok

It's why I get really frustrated when I hear them offering opinions that show a lack of understanding of the rules,or of how VAR is operating.
  • Mrs. Grey.

I didn't hear what he said but Maradona, when Argentina scored, he was caught on camera giving a double one fingered salute to the Nigerian fans below. A little bit unsavoury for me.
  • Not really surprising with Maradona. Guys clearly been on the charlie all night.
  • He was once a great footballer; he was and always will be a buffalloon (an inflated buffoon.)
