    ;wahoo

He was my choice when Sam left.
  • I honestly believe he will be offered 2m to keep us up and leave at the end of the season . ;hmm

Do you think he wants to take us down then so he can get a good bonus?
  • Twist

Pretty sure we all are ;ok
  • I want him to turn it round.

But he has to do a bit more than what he's done, which is sticking with the same midfield 2 even though we are letting in at least 3 goals a game. It's not difficult to see which area needs addressing prior to winning games.

He seems to feel if he keeps picking Noble, Kouyate, Antonio, Lanzini, Payet, eventually we'll win a game because they're all too good to keep playing badly.

Time for 2/3 changes and go back to 4-5-1 and everybody working hard. I guarantee you the first game everybody runs around in will be the time we win.

Maybe try Kayoute in MF. ;wink ;whistle

  • Koyate's best position is defensive midfielder. When he joins the attack, no matter how good he is, he exposes all our weaknesses at the back.
  • GARCIA TURNED DOWN HAMMERS

Rudi Garcia claims he rejected an offer to replace Slaven Bilic at West Ham this week.

The Frenchman, who took over as Marseille boss on Thursday after leaving Roma, says he was offered the chance to replace Bilic but turned it down.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Garcia said: "I studied everything. Whether the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga. I went where I was wanted the most.

"I had a lot of proposals. My goal was to stay in a major European league or take a national team capable of winning the next World Cup.

"I am happy to be here. It is a great challenge, a new adventure, with a different direction
  • ;hmm

I'd like to read the whole L'Equipe article but it is subscription only.

I see all the UK websites/blogs have just taken their story from the first couple of paragraphs that are free to browse.

The Boss in his younger days
  • Why didn't he tell the Standard to shove it after the nonsense they printed about the Chelsea game? And why are there half a dozen photos of the other nights disturbances on the page when he is talking about the football. ;angry
  • Slav deserves a lot of credit in my book for these last few matches. I think one of the hardest things for a manager is to pull his team out of a slump in results and just as importantly, confidence, and he looks, I say looks to have done just that. Many clubs never recover from a bad start due to such a slump but we are already looking upwards again. It was a shame we drew Man Utd away in the cup as there were easier teams who would have allowed us to progress and there is nothing more able to banish a slump in confidence than a cup run. We will just have to do it the hard way I guess.
  • Yes. but beating United away twice in four days will be soooooo good.

Yep ............... plus we owe them for cheating against us in the FA cup last year ;angry
  • Certainly do'able if recapturing the form and spirit of last season!

    and getting a decent referee
  • Well that's that then. There aren't any.

Trouble is, you can't win against the power of the press.

If he stops co-operating with them, there is nothing to be gained, and it will only make things worse. (imo)
  • BILIC REPLACEMENT IDENTIFIED

West Ham will look to appoint former Spain and Real Madrid midfielder Michel as their new manager if they part ways with Slaven Bilic, reports AS.

Bilic impressed during his first season in charge but the Hammers have struggled in 2016/17 and currently find themselves one place above the relegation zone.

According to AS, West Ham are interested in Michel, who is without a club after being sacked by Marseille in April.

Michel has received various offers over the past few months but he does not want to rush into choosing his new team after his experience at Marseille.

He is No.1 on West Ham’s shortlist of possible candidates to replace Bilic, while several Premier League and Spanish teams reportedly want him too.
  • Why are we identifing a Bilic replacement?

    Doesn't make sense.

Foreign speaking coach, no experience of English football being appointed to keep a club up in the most donor tribe league after a poor start?

    Must be rubbish.
  • "most donor tribe league after a poor start?
    Must be rubbish."

    Pardon. ;lol
  • Competitive = donor tribe

    ;lol
  • That's some predictive text you have there. ;lol
  • NEWCASTLE CHRONICLE

West Ham want to replace Slaven Bilic with Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez if they decide to sack the under-pressure Croatian.
