Moulin Rouge is a very divisive film. I love it - very clever, very funny, very sad, very dark. Also the only film I've seen at the cinema that drew an audible collective gasp from the audience ("because she doesn't love you!", for those that know the film).
The only film I've seen at the cinema that drew a collective response was Johnny English, after destroying the police camera which caught him speeding.
The Goonies is an all time family favourite. And another family favourite (of ours) Turner & Hooch. Watched a good film friday night called Tracks. Never heard of it and only stumbled upon it on Blinkbox by accident, but worth a look, a bit like Walkabout. Two very atmospheric films that I haven`t seen for ages but are fantastic are Badlands and Midnight Cowboy. And another great film that just popped into my head from yesteryear, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.
