    I know this is sort of thing that a lot of people don't care about, but 'The West Ham Way' website is describing Lamadrid as a right winger.

    According to transfermarkt, he's played just about everywhere, but he's certainly not a right winger.

    Loaning a 22 year old to go into our development squad seems strange. How are you going to tell if he is good enough for the first team from playing PL2 games in the 5 months we are loaning him for ? then to boot at 22 he is already in my opinion past the age of "will he or will he not make it" at that age you are either playing in the first team or should be shipped out and looking for another club at a lower level.

    I’d assume it’s to give him 5 months to get used to being in England but it doesn’t help us loads.

    Burnley want to sign West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse on loan until the end of the season.

    They have explored the conditions of a potential deal for the 31-year-old.

    Ward-Prowse is not in West Ham’s plans and has been told he can leave. His contract runs until the summer of 2027.

    Burnley want a midfielder with Premier League experience after Josh Cullen suffered an ACL injury.

    I am not sure he would improve them that much as he has been poor for us and like us they need attacking intent to get out of this relegation fight, and that's not his strong point. This said how annoying would it be to see him suddenly discover his dead ball skills he left at Southampton again?

    Shame about Cullen. He was forging a good career. Hope he isn't derailed too badly.

    As mentioned the Brazilian transfer window doesn’t close until 31 March

    West Ham have completed the signing of Keiber Lamadrid from Venezuelan club Deportivo La Guaira on loan for the rest of the season.

    The loan has an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

    My guess is that they wait until our window closes and say this is the best offer you will get now, couple this with his not being playable for some odd reason at present and the club will be over a barrel. The best we could try and negotiate is the add on to the fee rather than add ons which would take the fee to 34m. I imagine he would refuse even if someone like Chelsea offered us 40m.

    C&H reckon the bid was £30m over 5 years plus £5m performance related add ons

    The bid has been rejected as the board want a bigger initial payment and smaller add ons

    Seems like it’s now a matter of “when” rather than “if”
