Rice being one yellow away from suspension is really scary

I’m sure Fredericks won’t let us down. None of our players have this season. He’s my third choice right back, but I’d rather a fit Fredericks over an unfit anyone. Auour is not particularly quick, he’s very skilful, but hopefully Fredericks’ pace will help him out.

Game will come down to Antonio, IMO. Will he be on it as, if he is, they won’t handle him.

Not sure Antonio will ever score for us again

I said it the other day, I’ll say it again: I don’t care if he scores. He runs people ragged and other people get the glory. So long as someone scores I’m good with it

  This commentary lol.

Olympic Lyonnais, as they are known in France.

Mate, they're known as that everywhere.

  It's their name 🤣

Declan needs to avoid a yellow today or he'll miss the return leg. I believe that the card tally gets wiped clean after the quarter finals.
• OldCastleSwift

  April 2022

Cautious start. Understandable, given the circumstances, but we haven't really threatened their back line yet.

I don't understand why we're not playing our #1 choice for goalkeeper. Surely this game is important enough for us to field our preferred choice. Or are we going to stick with Areola even if we get to the final?

That was close, paying them to much respect for me

Oh good, the Lyon players love to go down screaming as well. That's nice.
• OldCastleSwift

Areola is just as good as Fabianksi, of not better, IMO. He's the cup 'keeper so if we make the final then he should play.

Ref seems a bit pernickety, which doesn't bode well.

That high foot... Both feet were at exactly the same height when they connected.

Cracking ball from Dawson and cracking touch from Bennie and a half chance

We've had a couple of openings in the last five minutes. Game's warming up now.

Nice breakaway there, top directional header from Antonio

Never going to keep a clean sheet if we keep playing like this

Why aren't players booked for diving anymore?

  Scrappy game

Their number 10 looks a very tricky player

  Antonio looks on it.

  Benrahma is so frustrating.
