  • Everyone has their price and a ridiculous offer would have to be considered, he's 29 and just hit the form of his life

I still don't think he'll go because I don't think anyone will pay 50-60m for the player and probably need to make his wages 200k a week for 5 years, that is a 100m investment and no resale it's not happening imo

  • Thank you Mr Sullivan. That's good enough for me. ;ok
  • It is very understandable that we all fear him going as he can play above our current level - but if we place the fear aside for a moment and think of the positives he could be a brilliant recruiting tool, If Payet is playing for us we must be going somewhere they will think. Payet, Olympic Stadium and once Ginge makes his name in this tournament they will be begging us to come.
  • I am so worried that Sullivan said that (and he can't spell building, so he probs didn't). But his record for accurate prediction on these matters is around 3.13 percent. The louder he says it the less likely it is. He's worse than Hughey ITK
  • I don't think payet would want to leave us but at his age he would see a move to a Madrid or Barca as his last chance, the fee and the wages are a snip to these guys and to be honest he deserves to be playing at that level
Saying that lets keep our fingers crossed he stays

The German TV is just doing an entire feature on Payet. I think they understand!

They've even included our song! Several times!!!!
  • So, how are we getting on with that whole #undertheradar thing?

    ;lol
  • The German TV loves Payet. They were absolutely fawning over him, explicitely saying how well he has settled at West Ham and how much of a fan favourite he has become (shown by a video of Hammers fans singing "We've got Payet" in a pub) followed by a Hammers fan singing the song in front of a stadium in France). They then moved on to Bilic saying how great Payet was.

Certainly not under the radar here in Germany ;)
  • Bilic just said his best postion is on the left.
  • How refreshing for an Agent not to be talking up a move...

Payet's agent: "He is very happy at West Ham and it's down to West Ham that he's in the position that he is in now"
  • But Vorse, that same agent is looking to make his money on Sakho this summer. ;whistle
  • Loving this picture....

    ;hmm

Is that a real shirt? Shouldn't it have a claret band around the neck?

    Edit:

    Ignore me.

    No it shouldn't.

    ;scarf
  • Duly ignored ;lol
  • Andhe scores again! 2 in 2
  • Andy who? ;biggrin
  • Is it Paul Goddard?
  • Slaven Bilicnis a very very smart manager indeed.

He could turn out to be the best man manager we've ever had.

Getting on the table and celebrating Payets goal will go round Europe and Payet will see it, it sends a message

There is no way that After the comments by Payets agent plus this that he is going anywhere just yet. I fully expect him to be with us.
  • And we are getting one hell of a lot of exposure through him. The commentator mentioned West Ham regularly throughout the match. Imagine if this were a WC!
  • £10.3m we paid ;lol
  • He is currently the talk of world football - If he stays with us and we make the necessary improvements to our first team, I see no reason why can't be contender for Ballon D'Or next season - Messi and Ronaldo seem to be tailing off a little compared to previously and I'd be surprised if the likes of Mahrez keep it up. The likes of Suarez are obviously on fire. Dimi though just seems to be going from strength to strength.
  • Had £5 on Dimi last night
    1st goal @ 9/2
    Last goal @ 9/2
    Anytime goal @ 7/5
First or last goal @ 3/1

So for £20 ..... He earned me a return of £59.50

Give him another pay rise and a contract extension ;biggrin
  • He is carrying that French side so those odds are going to keep getting shorter meaning there will be less money to make!!
  • Slizzy

    Absolutely agree.

I've up'd your data base count.
  • Not very likely to happen, but imagine England manage to get into the Euro
final, and France is the opposition.
Now, be honest with yourselves, there are two possible outcomes to this scenario
    a) Rooney scores the winning goal for England, or
    b) Payet scores the winning goal for France.
