I think I have to get this off my chest.

Big Sam was a boring manager whose team played boring football. His type of football is dead in an era where fans pay a fortune to be entertained .
Setting up defensively in every game is why the players and fans were unhappy.

If Big Sam thinks we were deluded then can he not see what we were all on about now we have a manager like Bilic?

Bilic will not win every game but he has a personality and a sense of humor unlike Big Sam. He also believes you can win games by actually attacking the other side occasionally.

My advice to Big Sam is to let the past go and carry on making the Sunderland fans as miserable as you did most of the West Ham fans in his last couple of seasons.

I agree with the first bit of this. Although Sam did a job for us, ie. get us out of the Champonship and stable in the Premier League (for which I am very grateful), his methods were boring. There were very few exciting games or exciting times. Excitement is what I watch football for, and what I wish for with West Ham.

In the short time Bilic has been manager, he has brought excitement and a positive anticipation before each game.

Spot on Exeter. I liken sam to my first car, a brown 1.1L 1986 ford fiesta. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't fun, didn't make me popular but it was better than getting the train (Championship) and it did so reliably for a few years until I wanted something a bit more exciting with more poke so I traded her in. Like Sam I am thankful for what she did but happy that I got to own and drive some better machinery. ;scooter
