Really pleased with that performance and happy to take the point, after the first ten minutes I thought it was going to be a long afternoon but we really came back and took the game to them.
Alverez was a superstar today, full of energy, always looked to do something positive with the ball and lifted the rest of the team, really strong second half by everyone and we looked more like winning it than they did.
Enjoyed watching the game and being honest, it has been a while since I could say that
Apart from the first ten or fifteen minutes that was probably the best we’ve played this season especially in the second half and when you consider who wasn’t available. Well played West Ham.👏👏
I am often quite downbeat about West Ham but this is as excited as I’ve been in a while (since the FA Cup game). Potter is the right fit for us based on what I’ve seen & heard so far & what he got out of those players today can only give us hope for when we have our whole squad available.
That was a great performance....After a terrible start we didn't collapse
We never stopped looking for the win, even late on. Players looked very motivated Some players looked as though bought back to life, Alveraz, Paqueta. Coufal Some very good individual performances from Kilman, Alveraz, Paqueta and Wan Bissaka
We looked and battled like a different side, when Bowen gets back we will look even better.
The other thing I noticed is I enjoyed the game and I haven't often this season.
Even had we conceded late on I would have still rated the performance and we chased the win to the end. I think that should be the case for the rest of this season. There are times when the league position dictates you have to try for a draw but that will very likely not apply so I would like to see us attack each match as we did today.
I also think the defence is better without Mavro as Kilman had a great game.
Villa are such a bunch of cheats. And then they get upset when Paqueta does the same. Bankes got stick for letting almost everything go, which made him look biased whenever he blew for a foul. I usually hate watching Villa, but really enjoyed the last hour of that 😄
No one will persuade me that if Moyesie or J-Lo were still in charge, we'd have got that result or performance today. Over to you Slacker
Ok, I’ll bite. I was very happy for the team and the manager. Potter would’ve been my choice in the summer so I’m glad he’s here now.Like all our managers I will support him and wish him success.BUT inevitably ,as certain as death and taxes, there will come a time when “fans” will turn on him ( some sooner than others 😉) and that’s what I don’t like. Answer your question?
I'm going to give these threads an extra day before I close them down this season to make sure everyone who wants to stick a nomination in gets the chance to do so. Saturday game threads will be shut down on the Tuesday morning, so you get the day of the game, and two full days after.

But a point & the manner of the performance, against that quality of side, was excellent.
