There was a foul in a recent game where he got a yellow, that made me feel like his reputation leads to him being treated more harshly. Yes, he’s rash, but it’s like he’s punished for tackling sometimes.

Alvarez puts in blocks, shows for the ball and most of the time uses it well. The rest of our midfield is usually hiding from either tackling or taking the ball on. He’s a liability card-wise but he’d probably get less of them if we didn’t have such a static midfield. I think he’s overly criticised and has been really good today.
