It's always good when you have a non traditional top four team mount a challenge to those places as Villa did last season, Forest are that team at present. They are currently 4th but only two points behind Arsenal in 2nd and a point behind Chelsea in 3rd, but five points clear of Newcastle in 5th. They also play Everton, Wolves and Southampton in three of their next four matches, so could make further inroads.
You can bet your life that every manager who has ever lived and is experiencing a slump, will have taken a look at the fixture list to see when they are playing us
I think it's three out of the current bottom four with Wolves most likely to survive as they have the best players. There is a small chance Man Utd could at least get into a relegation scrap as they are not looking good at present, but I suspect the new manager will have a bit of a reshuffle during this window and see them to mid table. They do have the Europa league fixtures and the FA cup which will put added strain on them.
I never mind that personally. Unless it's a political programme I am happy for people to wear colours. We love to see it when it's England and I think it's fine for ex players to be outwardly still fans of their teams. Football is all about passionate partiality.
Shouldn't someone tell Wrighty he's supposed to be impartial, getting tired of him keep saying "we" instead of Arsenal.
He drives me up the wall, way more than Carragher or Gary Neville because he left Arsenal yet now is Arsenal through and through. Can't stand him these days tbh.
When I think of Ian Wright , the ONLY team that comes to mind is Arsenal, regardless him adorning the beloved claret n blue ⚒️
I agree, and to be fair I think if any club have claim to him other than Arsenal it would be Palace before us. Most players are associated with one club by fans of other teams, that goes for managers as well, Mourinho will always be Chelsea for me, George Graham always Arsenal and to be fair as much as we love him and he occupies a place in our hearts Moyes will probably always be Everton.
Sheringham will always be ManU for me although I was lucky enoughto watch him don the claret and blue against 1860. I would actually like another friendly in Munich. (or Nuremberg)
Teddy is quite an interesting one regard this conversation as he had prolonged spells at a few clubs. Personally I think of him as Spurs but his profile was biggest when at Man Utd due to their success, but he was also a hero of Millwall and played more matches for them than anyone else. I recall not being too enthused when he arrived at West Ham as it had final pay day written all over it but to be fair he gave it his all and scored plenty.
Lineker is another like Teddy, is he Leicester, Barca or Spurs? probably Spurs for me as it's the shirt I recall seeing him in most, but like Teddy and Millwall his most matches were for his beloved Leicester, but we were not seeing him on our TV in that shirt as often. He was most prolific at Everton but didn't play that long for them as Barca came calling.
Richarlison, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie, Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de ven and Ben Davies are injured, Bentancur suspended while Fraser Forster, Radu Dragusin, Archie Gray, and James Maddison are reportedly ill
3rd choice keeper Brandon Austin could make his first team debut and get his first start since Spurs U21s v West Ham U21s in May 2023
Don't know how the Newcastle goal stood .looked handball to me
Goal should have been ruled out. Although the handball was accidental, it deflected the path of the ball to a Newcastle player thereby materially affecting the outcome. Shame
Nice to see Spurs lose at home again, even if it is to Newcastle. It appears the officials did their best to try and help them by allowing ten minutes extra on the ninety and then also playing fourteen.

It's also only their 3rd win. And one of those was against Spurs 😂. The other was v Wolves. I'm happy for them to scrap out the relegation places!
