Tamworth take Spurs to extra time and had a couple of very credible chances to win it, and probably should have, in the 95th minute and how amusing would that have been
Hmmm more iffy refereeing as one of the darling teams looks to be in a spot of bother.
Yeah, he doesn't give Tamworth an attacking free kick for a clear foul, Spurs go down the other end and get the free kick for a very similar foul, and that leads to the goal. Poor reffing, surprise surprise, in favour of a Sky 6 team.
I think that’s the law isn’t it. If a defender deliberately plays or attempts to play the ball it plays the offender onside. If it touches the defender but he’s not deliberately played it then the offender is still offside. That’s my interpretation anyway.
He was offside when the original ball was played anyway, so should be offside imo regardless of whatever clauses they want to add to the current offside rule.
Football is played to the Laws, not what we fancy.
Herb, I love when pundits comment on a decision they disagree with by saying 'well, by the LETTER of the law' as if we should be able to disregard the law when it suits us.
Like, that was a great run and sweet strike. Alas, by the letter of the law, as it didn't go in the onion bag, it's not a goal. But, you know, let's give it anyway. lol.

Might as well get some value from my licence fee 😀
3-0 a very harsh result indeed
