That looks a poor appointment on paper. He is coming to the toughest league in the world and to a team in trouble with no Premier league experience and not much time to work it all out. I guess in their position you have to take a gamble.
They should have been all over Moyes, I wonder if the new owners at Everton will look to Moyes now they have control?
Why would you out Dyche for Moyes?
Because he wins football matches according to David Moyes! Everton have only won three games in the Premier League this season.
Moyes only won 4 Premier League games since the turn of the year.
Vitor Pereira has been officially announced as the new Wolves manager. He's certainly got about a bit since leaving Porto in 2013, Wolves is his 10th club since Porto, and that includes 3 years in charge of Shanghai:
2013–2014 Al Ahli 2015 Olympiacos 2015–2016 Fenerbahçe 2017 1860 Munich 2017–2020 Shanghai SIPG 2021 Fenerbahçe 2022 Corinthians 2023 Flamengo 2024 Al Shabab 2024– Wolverhampton Wanderers
WOW, his passport must look impressive though......
It's a great shame that Millwall couldn't have waited a bit longer before appointing Alex Neil as I reckon Wayne Rooney would have been ideal to help them moved divisions!
As an aside from the specifics of manager X or Y, I was just thinking about the fact that so many new managers scrap the entire coaching team that was there before them. It seems a questionable strategy to me, and I wondered what others think.
A couple of examples of what got me thinking: 1. Kevin Nolan being let go by Lopetegui. He had a great bond with the players, and the club generally, and was part of a coaching team that was very successful. 2. Van Nistelrooy being let go by Amorim. He’d just had a good run as a caretaker manager, and had gotten them into a good place morale wise, which now feels like it’s entirely gone.
Good point Alderz, although in the case of a foreign manager I guess they prefer the coaching staff to speak the same language. I'm trying to imagine J-Lo trying to have a conversation with Nolan.

Well, he’s having those conversations with Czechs, Ghanaians, Brazilians, Poles, French, and another Scouser in Cresswell. If the communication barrier to a coach is that much of an issue then I’d worry about communication to the squad!
I agree Alders - I find J-Lo very difficult to understand, and assume most foreign players find it even more difficult to comprehend exactly what he wants from them, This would explain in part why we don’t seem to have a plan when our team takes to the pitch. Maybe he should get an interpreter to help him put his ideas across.
We aren't the only low-rent club, it seems. What a statement to issue. Dycheball may not be sexy, but he stuck to the job in the face of NO money, CONSTANT uncertainty over ownership, and a points deduction.
I doubt if Moyes will do any better than Dyche, there’s no money so Moyes will have to work with the same limited squad and the only thing that will change is the tactics
Everton will have to pay Dyche’s salary, pay Moyes’s salary and could still get relegated

Good luck to him 😎

I hope he took them to the cleaners.
