  • Weather is making a third attempt to threaten England's progress today apparently, but hopefully we'll find out on the pitch if England have enough. Three good teams left.

We'll be lucky to get a game in.

No reserve day, India go through if no game is possible (definitely something not right there imo). 5 overs a side does constitute a game though.
  • Yep, lets take India to the wettest place in the Carribbean.
  • If it’s rained off we are out

10 overs per side for semis and final.

With no reserve day, and with a predetermined result if the minimum isn't achieved, that's dreadful imo.

  • After earlier rain, things looked promising and the covers were going to come off. However, it's raining again now, quite heavily it would seem.

Things looking brighter again now, the covers are off and we've had the toss. England have won the toss and have put India in. England are unchanged.
  • India 46-2 at the end of the powerplay, but, worryingly, it's getting darker and the ground staff moved towards the covers during the last over.
  • Sure enough, it's raining again and the covers are back on. India are 65-2 after 8 overs.
  • Play back under way, India reach 77-2 after 10 overs.
  • Rashid, in his last over, gets Rohit Sharma in the 14th over, India 113-3.
  • Jordan, who took a hat-trick in the last match, has 2 in 2 towards the end of the 18th over; he's got a hat-trick ball with the last of the over.

    Alas not.

India are 147-6 with 2 overs remaining.
  • India finish on 171-7 off their 20 overs, which is marginally ahead of the par score for batting first on this pitch in a day game.

However, despite it not being a 200 plus pitch, I still think England will be fairly happy to have restricted India to that score. Fingers crossed we make a good start in the powerplay and can stay ahead of the rate all the way.
  • A far from impressive powerplay by England, 39-3 off the first 6 overs, 7 runs and 2 wickets worse than India were.
  • Moeen Ali very clumsy and gets himself stumped. 46-4.
  • Curran gone now, 49-5, and he wasted a review when he was plumb lbw.
  • A very poor performance with the bat by England, all out for just 103.
  • Fair. England made some mistakes along the way, but I think this was as far as we could have expected them to get, and I don't think eliminating the errors would have been enough today. Two best performing sides in the final.
