All this understandable anger at what our club are currently doing is down to the people at the top & until that changes we will continue to be disliked by many. There are still some fans who reckon Sullivan & Brady can do no wrong!

Just one journalists take on it.
  • But you wouldn't hold a team bonding event if you feel you're getting sacked in the morning would you?

I agree it's not the right way to go about things.

Surprised that you rate our owners so highly

    Circus club

    CIRCUS | English meaning
a group of traveling entertainers including acrobats, clowns, and trained animals

……not sure about the animals, but the rest fits.

Really? I don't read many of the fan-based blog sites, and I avoid the cesspit of social media as much as possible. So I've never seen any fans anywhere bigging up S and B.

I'd be amazed if you could point us to ( genuine) West Ham fans who are as you characterise. More than amazed, gobsmacked!

But then, we live in a Trump world now.
  • I've not come across many I must say.
  • Ex saying it looks like Potter has now been offered a 2.5 year deal with 'key objectives.'
  • 2.5 year deal feels right. 6 months is crazy, and if it is only 18 months this time next year we'll we wondering if we'll need another new manager.

    That sounds a bit better.

And sounds like the manager is being asked to back himself. Which is a good thing, imo.
  • Of course he wants a longer contract. That way he can make a killing when we sack him after 6 months for not performing. Probably not because he’ll need that time to turn team around.
The whole thing makes the club look appalling IMO, and doesn’t look good on Potter either who is doing all this to a peer who’s still in the job.
  • Out of curiosity, does anyone think that a manager's former playing position has an influence on his coaching regarding tactics or style of play?

I don’t think so. Nuno is doing a pretty good job

How can it possibly reflect badly on Potter? He's negotiating a contract, the same as you or I would.

Wanted Lopetegui gone a long while ago. Never felt right with him in charge and never really seemed like he had a solid plan at all for the team.

But the way this club have dealt with this manager fiasco is a complete joke, have big sympathy for way the he has been treated, same with Moyes before him. The lack of class at board level is so disgusting, the sooner Sullivan (and Brady) sell up and go and someone with more business acumen and professional stature comes in the better.

  • Tell him Liverpool are doing great, ignore them. If Elon wants a challenge I’ve got one for him.

I think there is still this idea that it's "classy" not to negotiate with clubs when a manager is in a post. There was an interview with Moyes on the BBC when he was put up for New Years Honours, and he said that he would never do it out of respect for other managers.

I don't say this lightly, but if Elon Musk buys West Ham, I'm out.
  • And now the press conference that Lopetegui was due to have today has been cancelled.

It's all so protracted. Just let him go already!
  • The way it stands we could have Loppy and Potter both on the coach on Friday each with their own team selection hoping that the position is sorted by the time it reaches Villa Park.
Ideal way to prepare for a cup tie.
  • We’re such a classy outfit aren’t we?
  • It really is enough to make you weep. 😥
  • He's still taking training today. lol
  • It really is enough to make you weep. 😥

I know, it is. I’ve been crying all night. 😥
  • Somethings need to be doe the right way but WHU aren't doing it. Why prolong the agony for Lopetegui and torture him in public? The same happened to Moyes. This is not right and reflect badly on the Club. I can't recall other major Clubs engaging in the same kind of circus. Why West Ham?
  • Think they are hoping he will walk in disgust .Then they won't have to pay him

Although he didn't set us alight on the pitch, he (or anyone) doesn't deserve to be treated as he has been.

    Goodbye Lopetegui
    Though you couldn't coach football
You had the grace to hold yourself
    While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the boardroom
And they whispered behind your back
And while Bowen was on a treadmill
We knew you were for the sack
  • I find it hard to believe that the board are not talking to Lopetegui or Lopeteugi is not talking to the board.
