This game has been a complete waste of time. Our entire first team have barely featured so they’ll have 2 games before the season starts. Most of our team will have played about 200 minutes before the 12th. Can’t see the point of playing our youth team for the major part.
Point I was making was some of those who went to Australia could have played 45 minutes too. It wouldn’t have been too much for them. Most of them only played two 45 minute sessions out there. Every year we say that pre season is all about fitness not results but that comes from playing games. I don’t know but I reckon we will be behind previous seasons match fitness levels when we kick off on the 12th.
We played 7 pre season games before the 2021/22 season, ended 7th, made a fantastic start when we were 4th in November. We’re playing 6 this time. That one game short may be huge, but also we ended the season later than others.

But it's the nature of the games we've played. I know a lot of it is out of our hands, with the short summer break due to the late finish to the regular season due to the World Cup, then the ECL final, then internationals, the U21s Euros, whatever competition Antonio has only just finished playing in, all that adds up to a really messy summer.
However, throwing in a trip to Australia which only half our first team went on and who were all then not available for today's fixture just feels like we're going into the remaining two friendlies and the start of the PL hugely undercooked.
I’m sure he’ll be fine longer term, but it just shows the slight tweak from the constant unconditional love from us to the sceptical fans you need to win over. We know what Rice does. He’s played one game, looked a little rusty, Arsenal fans wonder what he offers for £100m.
buffy "However, throwing in a trip to Australia which only half our first team went on and who were all then not available for today's fixture just feels like we're going into the remaining two friendlies and the start of the PL hugely undercooked."
But they would have got more out of playing Spurs and Perth than they would against the Daggers.
It's more about the continuity of training and absorption of internationals coming back in later in preseason into the squad; what we've done has led to a very disjointed preseason imo.
‘The pre-season friendly between Tottenham and Leicester in Bangkok was called off due to a waterlogged pitch after torrential rain during the warm-ups.’

Moyes did suggest that might be Cornet's best position, so I think it'll be him with Benrahma and Kodua either side.
Coufal - Kehrer - Aguerd - Scarles
Swyer - Soucek - Orford - Benrahma
Marshall - Cornet
Looks like…
1-1 now.
That’s two already!
