    Our attitude towards the game has been so much better than in a lot of games this season, but some of the defending has been woeful, and you just don't get away with that at this level. Poor by Kehrer to concede the corner and dreadful defending in general in the second phase of the corner to allow Wilson a free header. Then poor again by Kehrer by letting his man run free, and poor by Emerson for playing him on (although he may have been played on by Zouma anyway).

    Nice to be gifted one back by dreadful keeping by Pope, but we're asking a lot to get something from the game. Also, I'm not saying Ings would have done better, but Antonio is nowhere near PL quality any more, his physicality and pace were pretty much all he had, and he's not even got that any more.

    Considering Moyes is a pragmatic, defence-first manager, we're terrible at defending.

    Both of those goals were down to proper schoolboy stuff. It was a bright start by us, but two hapless attempts at defending and we're two behind with a mountain to climb.

    We need another fast start to this half. Can't allow Newcastle to get comfortable.

    Two very poor goals to concede but we are not out of it. Bring Cornet on for Soucek and push Paqueta alongside Rice. Must get a point, at least.
