  • An abject performance to say the least.
Not much positive things to say....apart from were not losing at HT.
  • Another post match press-conference where Moyes says ‘we didn’t play well’
  • Turgid.

We haven't really threatened at all, and look way off the pace. Not a single stand-out player so far.

Antonio has looked very sluggish, and the three supporting him haven't been any better.

Fabianksi MOTM so far for us, which says it all really.
  • Brentford have been pretty average too, let’s be fair
  • Still think we should have full rotated the squad potential for 120 minutes in Lyon.

I can't really remember the last time we did in the league. We've won games, yes, but we haven't played anyone off the park for months.

I think a lot of that is down to the schedule. Again today we look so heavy-legged in everything we do.
  • Its like there minds are on something else =)

We are giving Mbeumo so much space. No one is picking him up. We are asking for trouble.

I think Fornals has been way too narrow, and left Cresswell to deal with too much by himself. I think Janelt is a problem too, Fornals / Lanzini / Rice all losing his runs, and nobody is pressing Eriksen properly so he has time to pick a pass.
  • We haven't done much 'wrong' but our attacking play has been pretty dire

I know he often does most things wrong, but when Benrahma plays he's at least positive and gives the opposition someone to worry about

All too safe from the front 4, set pieces once again seem our most likely avenue
  • Ivan Toney is a lot better on the ball than I realised, he’s good at dropping Dee and linking up play. He’s a good player.
  • If Mbeumo had a bit more composure/quality, we would be in real trouble right now, agree that we are asking for trouble allowing him that much space
  • Overall not a great game to watch but Erickson is showing what a quality player he is
  • Benny on after 60 mins .Players often turn it on against there old clubs

He’s got a lot of similar traits to Harry Kane & we saw that when they beat us at home.
  • I think Moyes’ sub options & timings are going to be key here. He has Yarmo, Vlasic, Benrahma, Fredericks, Johnson, Masuaku. He has 2 left & they can inject some energy but he has to get the timings right. I’d make a double change.
  • Very poor
  • So bad
  • Hopefully that’ll liven us up a bit
  • Doesn't feel like we are in this game much at all, feels like an Allardyce performance
  • Looks like its liven them up
  • Benny coming on
  • Antonio should have been left out today
  • Benny on for Lanzini
  • Benny on for Lanzini

And given away in our own half immediately
  • Think Antonio has dished up as bad a Performance as any player this season
  • We’ve been poor for some time now but have got away with it on occasions.

    For who?

If we miss out on Europe this season it'll be 100% the fault of our transfer 'policy'.

Antonio needs to come off. He is so leggy and has lost idea of his position completely, I know some teams play one up front but we have none today. Vlasik must be worth a go with fresh legs at least.

Lifeless and toothless performance all round.

We have been 2nd best in all areas of the pitch, it's been a very hard watch.
Moyes has to take some flack for not changing things up...POOR
