    Decent point, and one I would have taken before kick off, given the line up.

    Positives; Dawson had a good game, which was encouraging, and Bowen and Benrahma looked lively when they come on. Just a shame we couldn't take one of the chances because it's these games that we need to win if we want to challenge for top 8.

    I will take a point. We looked ok, good at times. Lots of questions that I want answering, but I have forgotten most of them as I have to admit that I dozed off.

    Bowen & Benrahma on at HT & that’s a different outcome

    These stupid short set plays need sorting, we had one of the best records with corners & free-kicks & the last few games we have taken far too many short that have come to nothing

    Can only assume it’s an instruction from coaching staff as it’s a clear change & nobody seems to be addressing it

    Same old problem though. Who's going to take them? Haller will probably go back to Germany but at a big loss, and Yarmo is on big, big money and other than one of the bigger Turkish clubs, I can't see anyone who would want and could afford him.

    Would definitely replace both in the summer, given that we won't spend any money in January now that we're as good as safe.

    I actually think Yarmolenko should be easy to replace, given that he doesn't actually offer much at all over 90 minutes. Dallies on the ball too much, no pace, no stamina. Yes, he's capable of doing good things, but nowhere near enough to be starting in the PL. There must be dozens of players in the Championship (or Slavia Prague) that could be more effective.

    I don't expect us to buy anyone because our owners are scoundrels. They'd probably use the money to buy Benrahma.

    Much better performance over the 90 minutes than the Brighton game.
    Special mention has to go to Dawson, coming in from nowhere and doing very little wrong against one of the inform strikers in Ings...Also thought Fredericks had a good game considering he’s not been involved lately....
    Fair point... finally , thought ref Madley had a good game 👍🏻⚒

    The team we finished with is our strongest, IMO, apart from Coufal in for Fredericks.

    I’d keep Dawson in for now ahead of Balbuena, too.

    Benrahma was so unlucky not to score, but looked bright and picked up more space in his cameo than any of our other players did in the entire match. Needs to play.

    Better second half and could have nicked one through Benrahma or Soucek. Yarmolenko and Lanzini were disappointing. Not sure, if it is due to lack of games or may be they are just impact substitutes. Need a few wins now.

    This is why we need to play four at the back. We have Coufal and Ogbonna so a LB and CB and the requirements.

    Good point from a tough opponent tonight. Southampton started fast but we gave them little. Should have nicked it at the end but McCarthy made a good save. Dawson played well and could be seen marshalling the defence at times. Soucek popped up all over the pitch and was probably my Hammers MOTM.

    1 defeat in last five, slowly building momentum again, we just need the shackles off earlier in those games where we sense they are there for us
