  • My guess is she emailed IBL, but he replied he’d got more problems at Watford
  • Arrogant much...

  • Well, under the fifa rules, they can't stop releasing players to the national team.
  • How crazy is it to think Savio Nsereko is now 30 and probably coming towards the end of his career?

  • The Ginger Pele to be club ambassador....
  • At least, the offer has been made. He's thinking about what he wants to do, apparently.

  • John Lewis wins Christmas... No more of those nasty purple one....

  • I havent had any quality street in over 10 years (does the purple one have a nut in it? If so, I like those!).Christmas is the one time I truly miss London (all the traditions, memories, TV etc :weep: ). I just havent been able to afford to go back in a long time
  • I reckon you would be in the minority re the purple one. It's lush.
  • Ok I'm wrong then on the colour...

What colour was the Turkish Delight one?

Actually now of think of it maybe it wasn't quality Street... :hmm:
  • Purple is a ?Brazil nut with a sort of caramelly surround, isn't it? (And chocolate.)
I think the Turkish Delight is pink?

I basically hate all the yellow ones.
  • My golf buddy gives me all the strawberry and orange creams that no-one in his family will eat - they are my favourites, especially before breakfast with a cup of tea
  • The Purple One is chocolate filled with hazelnut and caramel although it used to be brazil nut.

Pink is fudge. Don't think there ever was a Turkish Delight. Roses?
  • Thanks MrsGey,, ok I hate the pink ones...
  • Now Im craving some 1000's of miles away
  • Baz I feel your pain...

Xmas is the time of year when I miss the UK the most... All special foods and sweat treats..

My Supermarket just started a M&S section, I'am enjoying heavenly Choc Digestives.. Hope they bring some special Xmas goodie..

  • I’m drinking my gin fiz in Cyprus 30 degrees and craving a purple one or two

    Vorse

There are a few online sites (eg, British Corner Shops') that can supply treats from home. They are quite over-priced, but if you are craving a food package for a special occasion they can be a treat.

We used to use them at Christmas when we first moved out here, and at other times for various things you couldn't get out here (Marmite, for example). Not so much lately, but it might be worth you having a look, if you aren't aware of them.
  • Thanks...

I like the impulse purchase, when you have to plan a delivery it doesn't seem so enjoyable.

I'm sure if you Googled there must be somewhere that does Quality Street where you are.

I once found a UK supplier of Lays Cheddar & Sour Cream chips and Motts Clamato juice for a homesick Canuck.

I mean, I hate to be that guy but roses are better. Cadbury's chocolate is far superior to nestle. Unless you're talking white chocolate then Nestle win hands down.
  • My blood glucose has raised 20% just reading the posts, how I miss chocolate :weep:

It's very easy to make your own. You can get the ingredients on Amazon and make a syrup from artificial sweeteners.
  • Outcast

Think maybe pathman can't eat chocolate, rather than can't get it.

Yes, I assumed it was because of diabetes so was explaining how to make it without sugar.

OS plugging new style match programme -
With cutting-edge design, exclusive interviews, attention-grabbing opinions and eye-catching photographs, plus the regular news, columns and statistics and insightful content from across all areas of the Club, Hammer is the definitive Claret and Blue publication for West Ham fans.

And we are told that 'Noble dons the cover of issue five of West Ham United's new-look 116-page Official Programme – Hammer – for the 2019/20 season'

Let's hope the actual programme is written by someone who knows what they are doing.

(Unless he is actually wearing it :hmm: )

Ok, just watched the Bears vs Raiders at Tottenhams new ground, to be fair the new stadium is impressive, apparently there are two permanent pitches, the upper pitch actually slides underneath the main stand leaving the second pitch, in this instance marked out for the NFL game, ready for use.

  • But they don't have a lucky carpet.
