    Fonte a good defender joins West Ham and starts defending like Frank Spencer and Snodgrass cannot even start in this awful West Ham side.

    The usual curse of decent players joining West Ham and becoming a shadow of their previous selves.

    Why does this seem to happen to everyone we buy in the end??

    Lanzini, Kouyate, Antonio, Ogbonna, Obiang....everyone?

    I agree that we have wasted £40m on what I consider panic buys, Ayew, Fonte and Snodgrass, that we can't really afford to waste. It could have cleared a lot of the debt if nothing else.

    We always create a terrific atmosphere away. I also liked 'Wenger in, wenger out..... 'and the okey kokey!! As you say it was a shame about the football!
