Nobes did the crossed hammers at him ;biggrin
Rice tweeted a heart symbol and hammer symbol on Monday. No idea what that means.
"Mick (McCarthy) has spoken to my dad and I think Mick wants to meet me and my dad, which I said was fine. I haven’t spoken to Mick myself yet, but I’m going to speak to Mick. There is no date planned yet.”
"There are a lot of things going on with my football at the moment, I’m playing here week in, week out, and obviously there’s my contract situation, which is a lot to take on at a young age. The England/Ireland situation is a lot to take on as well. I’m just focused on playing for West Ham and I said that to Martin O’Neill and he totally understood and respected that."

Foden:
18 years old
13 first team appearances
4 U21 caps
0 full international caps
Rice:
19 years old
40 first team appearances
5 U21 caps
3 full international caps
Granted, Foden may have made more appearances had he been a West Ham player, and Rice less had he been at Man City, but on paper at least Rice has achieved more.
Based on this rather simplistic view, Rice is comfortably worth £30k a week in the current market, IMO.
Obviously not saying Rice should be earning that much, but I would put him in the same bracket as Foden in terms of potential so it wouldn't be unreasonable for him to expect similar wages, IMO ;ok
At least he has no pace to lose over those years.
Rice must be next. Mustn't he? ;hmm

Only the spirit of Christmas prevents me from landing you with a wet fish. ;wink
The Ireland team is desperately short of quality, and I think Rice would have a big impact on the team.
He's been given a deadline.
bedmy team face, Ham, surely?
