  • This does mean Obiang on the bench though. Would you really bench our best midfielder? ;hmm

I hate this game, with a capital H
  • Waits for "revenge" tweet from David Gold ;sofa

Randolph; Kouyate Fonte Reid Cresswell; Antonio Noble Obiang Snodgrass; Lanzini; Carroll

For me, that's probably our best team at the moment, even when others come back.
  • Alderz, agree with above 11, and I assume a 4-4-1-1?? Pretty versatile 11 and he could set them up in a number of ways. Never know with Bilic. Looking forward to the game. Great to have Kouyate back. ;scarf
  • I worry that Kouyate will get the hump playing everywhere but MF.

But no doubt he is our RB option...
  • MadCap ;ok

    Yeah 4-4-1-1

For me, this is the system that would also best suit Ayew too, in place of Lanzini, which gives us decent options.

Let's just for argument sake consider Kouyate a right back for now. This isn't a bad squad.

    GK: Randolph / Adrian
    DR: Kouyate / Byram
    DC: Fonte / Collins
    DC: Reid / Ogbonna
    DL: Cresswell / Masuaku
    MR: Antonio / Feghouli
    MC: Obiang
    MC: Noble / Nordtveit
    ML: Snodgrass / Tore
    AM: Lanzini / Ayew
ST: Carroll / Fletcher / Calleri
  • Is Ayew back for the game does anyone know?

It will be nice to see our 20M striker...
  • He should be as the 3rd/4th place game was on Saturday.

Last few home results against this mob:

    2015/16 - 1-1
    2014/15 - 1-1
    2013/14 - 3-3
    2012/13 - 3-1
    2010/11 - 2-2

    Lump on the draw.

    Randolph
    Kouyate - Fonte - Reid - Cresswell
    Noble - Obiang
    Antonio - Ayew - Snodgrass
    Carroll

Adrian, Collins, Fernandes, Lanzini, Feghouli, Calleri, Fletcher

Is how I'm tempted to go. Make the pitch as wide as possible and get two strikers on the pitch.

But I do want Lanzini involved too. ;hmm

No Sakho?? and that is without any of the youngsters. ;ok If we can keep everyone happy and add maybe 2 or 3 QUALITY players I think/hope we can push on a little bit next season. This was in response to Alderz Squad post. ;ok
  • Randy
    Kouyate Fonte Reid Cresswell
    Obiang Lanzini Noble
    Antonio Carroll Snodgrass

    So basically what Alderz said.

I think Snodgrass can play anywhere across the middle so can drop and offer Noble and Obiang some assistance. The holes in our midfield against City were enormous so it's important we don't make the same mistakes this time round.

More confident playing away from home so I'm not sure how this one will pan out. I think whoever scores first wins.

  • So basically what Alderz said.

    Smart, tbh
  • I'm a massive Noble fan but im not sure he suits playing at 'home'.

    Id be tempted to go:

    Randy
    Kouyate, Fonte, Reid, Cresswell
    Antonio, Obiang, Lanzini, Snodgrass
    Calleri, Carroll

    Subs:
Adrian, Collins, Fernandez, Noble, Feghouli, Ayew, Fletcher

    ;hmm
  • 2-2 and I reckon a couple of screamers will be scored. Possible Red Card in the game to with a last minute equaliser for either side.
  • Just seen this confirmation.

Andre Ayew will re-join his West Ham teammates today, following the ending of the African Cup of Nations.

  • 2-1 west ham carroll & Antonio ;ok
  • Randy
    Kouyate Fonte Reid Cresswell
    Feghouli Noble Obiang Snodgrass
    Antonio Carroll

    Don't mess with a winning combination. 1-0

    Or possibly

    Snodgrass Noble Obiang Lanzini

    But definitely 4-4-2
  • 2-1 west ham carroll & Antonio ;ok

No, I think Winston will get on the sheet this game
  • This does mean Obiang on the bench though. Would you really bench our best midfielder? ;hmm

    10 Pedro Obiang's.. 9 Pedro Obiang's.. even 8 Pedro Obiang's got this..
  • Do people still think Feghouli looks up to it? His short passing is shocking.
  • Eski

I think he has the potential to be a good player for us. For me, the more minutes he gets the more useful he looks
  • The few games I have seen him play in the opposition appear to have put 2 players on him, well at least Leicester did when he came on so they recognised he could be a threat. He is able to put a good cross in, it's just a shame we don't have someone who can get on the end of them? ;wink ;whistle
  • He, like the rest, has 14 games to show us his worth. I think he's up to 'match' fitness now so it's in his hands. There were a few short passes going astray on Saturday, not just Feghoulis, so they could all do with some brushing up.
  • 1. Pedro Obiang
    2. Pedro Obiang
    3. Pedro Obiang
    4. Pedro Obiang
    5. Pedro Obiang
    6. Pedro Obiang
    7. Pedro Obiang
    8. Pedro Obiang
    9. Pedro Obiang
    10. Pedro Obiang
    11. Pedro Obiang

Probably the most controversial aspect about this teamsheet is the extremely retro numbering. 1 to 11?! That's 19th century football!
  • It's ok. Pedro can drive the bus as well. ;biggrin
  • Only change bring in Snoddy for fegs and leave the rest alone

3-1 irons and Carroll to carry on scoring

Training going well it seems. Snodz can't half finish ;clap

I love the constant noise that is Mark Noble in the background ;lol
