Jinxed also says we're still sniffing around RB's.

    Randolph
    Byram - Fonte - Reid - Cresswell
    Kouyate - Obiang
    Antonio - Fabregas - Lanzini
    Carroll

Adrian, Collins, Noble, Snodgrass, Ayew, Hogan, Sakho
  • I'd be gutted if we got Fabregas.

Half the player he was, and twice as nasty and niggly.

Wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.
  • I'm sure it's a long shot, if true.

Clearly a talented player, having represented Arsenal, Barca and Chelsea. Obviously good enough for us, even if he is half the player he was.

Just whether you want to risk his personality in the dressing room, given he is quite snide.
  • I think Fabregas is excellent, but I do agree that he is a nasty player. Not one I would particularly want to be associated with.
  • If we don't get Hogan I'll be upset but that's West Ham.
When did we last have a natural striker? Defoe I should think as bfs didn't really play Baldock except for a few games where he impressed me.
  • Fabregas would be an unbelievable signing. Would be out best player by far. Can't believe some people wouldn't be happy with that ;puzzled
  • Interesting article in the Observer yesterday, over the last five seasons we've had the fifth highest net spending (players bought minus players sold), £138.6m. We're behind Man City £426.5m, Man U £397.6m, Arsenal £210.7m and Liverpool £144.6m but ahead of Chelsea £132.7m.

Everyone else is less than £100m but the real surprise is Spurs, a net spend of just £7.1m and they've managed a top six finish every season since 2012.

What this leads me to conclude is that Daniel Levy is one smart dude and that despite Gold emphasising the importance of re-sale value we've not done particularly well in the transfer market

Plus Spurs are going to move into a proper football stadium. Sigh

It's almost like some people decide about players based on reasons other that their footballing ability, Twist ;wink

;hmm So this is a useful stat to throw into the mix when people argue the Daves are cheap?
  • Spurs got £85m for Bale in 2013
  • IH - indeed, for 2012/13 Spurs were £11.92m in credit thanks to the Bale sale but they were also in credit last season by £14.09m thanks to selling Paulinho, Soldado, Townsend and others. And they still ended up 3rd

They paid £10m for Bale when he was a Championship player, that is good business

Ok then, can you explain what is wrong with his attitude, or whatever reason you don't want him anywhere near this club? ;puzzled
  • ;puzzled

Why are you asking me? I've not expressed a view on it.
  • Ah it was Grey, apologies ;ok
  • No worries ;ok
  • Palace in for Hogan according to Sky.
  • ;nonono He's not a defender
  • That doesn't matter to bfs

That's what happens when you take so long....
  • Hopefully it will force our hand to make a decision either way.
  • Hopefully it will force our hand to make a decision either way.

not like we have long left anyway window closes tomorrow ?
  • Perhaps we have made our decision and it's no.
  • According to Ex we have gone back to the big clubs to enquire about what loans may be going. So maybe we're waiting to see if Bats may be available, or even Defoe if Sunderland are daft enough to sell him, before we make a decision on Hogan.
  • Can't see palace coughing up Brentford's required £15m at the first time of asking when they already have benteke. An agent has probably tried to put this story into the public domain to force us to make our decision
  • We haven't got above £9m + add ons as far as I have read.
  • I can Palace blew 14m on Van Arnholt and 12m on Schlupp
  • Ighalo £20m offer from China accepted according to SSN.
