  • Not at our expense
  • Good luck to Moyes

Unfortunately I can't agree, ONLY because he'll end up at Everton, a team I don't like and also are close to us, wish he'd become Scotland's manager or gone overseas....
  • I like Everton because they aren’t Liverpool

Saw Twinny the Toffee down the pub yesterday and he was less than impressed with events
  • Moyes appointed at Everton.
  • I must say I think he's a bit nuts to do that, but I wish him well
( Except when we play them.)
  • They're the love of his life so when getting a second chance.......
  • Yeah I wish him well he’s a decent bloke.
  • I have no axe to grind so wish him well, however, this Everton is not the same outfit he left and I agree with Mrs Grey in that I think he is nuts to go back there.

I fear it is not going to end well for him, there really is limited upside as I cannot see him transforming them into world beaters and if it goes south, his legacy and reputation at Everton would be in tatters
  • I can imagine Moyes may enquire about some of our players he may know well. I feel sure he would love to take Soucek to Everton, but Coufal may be more attainable. On the coaching front I wonder if he will ask Nolan to join him from Northampton.

I'm not sure what Souceks contract situation is but I would resist any approach for him as I think he is a reliable asset to us at a time we need them.
  • Tommy Soup’s contract expires June 2027 👍🏻
  • Wish he no ill but I hope he relegates Everton apart from that good luck David :p
  • Juric is gone from Southampton.
  • Makes you wonder what they thought he was going to be able to achieve, doesn’t it
  • It's so hard to take a Championship squad and survive in the Premier league. I think you have to somehow manage it in the first season to give yourself a chance of establishing yourself but that first season can be brutal all three promoted clubs have found. If you look at Forest however if you can survive you can establish your self.
  • Forest have also had a ridiculous transfer policy. It’s nice to see Nuno doing well imo but the way they’ve chucked around the money means they’re not very typical of a side coming up
  • But Fulham and Villa spent huge when promoted.
  • @OutcastLondoner, Is that a ridiculously good transfer policy at Forest, one unlike ours, where we make a reported offer on a “take or leave it basis”? Until we get someone who can actually do our deals properly we will continue to miss out on some decent signings? David Sullivan isn’t that person!
  • I so wish RVN would have got the United job when he was caretaker, he really does have the most terrible record of any manager at present.

He is wasted at Leicester and should be doing damage like that at someone like United or even Spurs. They have not scored a goal at home in four months of football.
  • That is quite a statistic - maybe they should have looked at hiring an ex striker……….oh wait 😀
