Just done a bit of googling on ankle injuries + recovery time. Ranges from 2 or 3 weeks for mild sprain through to months for severely damaged ligaments, which may or may not require surgery. Obviously, surgery lengthens the recovery time. They usually wait a few days before doing the scan and getting a diagnosis.
You only ice in 20 minute chunks, so he might have had that done in the dressing room, Then come out to watch some of the game, and had another icing session a bit later.....
Also: “Mark has returned to full training and is available for selection tomorrow,” he said. “Edimilson is progressing well following the ankle sprain he suffered on international duty with Switzerland, and should resume full training in the next few days.
I'm not sure I knew Edi's was a sprain. I think I thought it was a broken foot? Or have I made that up?

I was out for three months when I did my ankle ligaments a few years ago. Hopefully with some professional care Ginge won't be out for that long.
Can we give Murphy a pay off so he bothers another team...
No way, without X-ray/scan would they be able tell a soft tissue injury from a small bone fracture.
It sounds like they need me on the staff ;biggrin
Well, I'm open to offers ;wink
