  • Pearce they didn't say the DNA was Alice. They said the DNA matched the "father's" but it wasn't tested against the mother's. maybe she is his daughter but not hers. There are clues all the way but we don't see them until an episode or two later. The series is only half way through so lots of twists to come

But they Dna tested the body in shed and it was Alice reckon Sophie and the other girl were involved

My theory is the dad had a kid with another person whilst serving which he is unaware of, and that's the remains which were found in the shed. Either that or they were told it was Alice to throw them off the scent. They saw no official confirmation.

Watching Lucifer. Not bad so far

I really like Lucifer. The advantage of 4 hours of commuting a day means you can really get through a season of shows really quickly.
  • Blacklist

I saw episode 1 of season 4 last Friday and have to say I was a bit ;hmm

They kept ramping up the jeopardy to the point I stopped caring.

  • Marvel Agents of Shield in America but not show in UK till 2017 ;angry

I like Lucifer has a bit of the "mentalist" feel about it but with some supernatural side to it.

Have watched the first couple of episodes, and agree it is ;hmm compared to other seasons. Previously, they have always resolved issues reasonably quickly and moved on, which is what I hope happens.

We need more of Reddington being suave and witty and lethal, which is why we watch the show.
  • And less of the (rather tedious) Lizzie.
  • ;ok It's all a bit melodramatic which bugs me.
  • Always happens after a few seasons of a show. You end up getting countless filler episodes which feel like they've made their point but continue to make it anyway.

Happened with the Mentalist. The Red John thing went on so long that when it came to the actual episode it all happened it was nothing short of....*really....really.... all that set up all that time and that is the best they came up with*
  • Alot of American show have 22 episodes and are full of filler episodes much prefer the shorter series like Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul etc going for 10-12 episodes. Sometimes it feels like a chore watching some series I struggled to get through Gotham as it was overlong Arrow is going the same way. Bigger is not always better
  • I lost patience with Arrow.
  • You have failed this city ;lol
  • Arrow was class in the 2nd season, but the supporting cast has always been quite poor and when the story started sliding (and they lost Blood and Deathstroke) the show just declined drastically. I still watch though in the hopes it picks up.

On the other hand, Agents of Shield has improved a lot by adding Ghost Rider!
  • Arrows flashbacks are just padding completely uninteresting and how many times has he been back to that stupid island ! Giving it a couple more episodes and then I might stop watching
  • Have just finished 'Bloodline' on Netflix. Was pretty good ;ok
  • I found the next single to get to Christmas #1 everyone.

  • Anyone seen much of Sons of Anarchy? Just finished season 1 having watched a few MC docs that appear pretty fake (the devils ride etc).

    McH

Tried to watch the first episode, but realised I was never going to care about any of the characters.
  • The missing ;nonono
  • Last Saturday I read an article about the David Niven film "A matter of life and death" which mentioned that it would be screened to mark its 70th anniversary. Its one of my all time favourite films, definitely in the top ten and this morning I found that there's a screening at the old cinema in Walthamstow tomorrow afternoon.

    Ticket booked.

NB when it was released in the States it was under the title "Stairway to Heaven" because the distributors thought that films with "death" in the title didn't do well. No connection with Led Zeppelin apparently........
  • I found the next single to get to Christmas #1 everyone.

    ;ok

The first episode of the new series was great. Negan is bloomping brilliant, the ultimate scary villain, makes the governor ;bowdown look like Julie Andrews. The next two episodes we found a bit, strange. Episode two could have been lifted straight out of the original Star Trek series, not a bad thing I suppose. Hope it picks up again. In anticipation of the new series we started watching TWD from the very start again. Fantastic tele.
  • I am about to go onto the "Raindrops Thread" as the picture above has reminded me of another favourite thing.
  • Rogue one better than the force awakens
  • Saw Rogue one last night agree better than Force Awakens although the cgi on a few of the old characters was a but meh !
