Edwards has tightened them up at the back, under Pereira they conceded more than 2 goals in 5 out of 10 Premier League matches but only once in 9 under Edwards
When you wake up the next morning after a defeat, feeling a bit down, I think is normal for many millions of fans all around the world, but to wake up feeling annoyed is something else..... Perhaps a few decisions didn't go our way and yes we are missing a few players, but that yesterday, it was trash and Nuno just sitting in his seat emotionless is not good enough.....
Maybe so thorn but he is responsible for doing something to change it. He got the striker he wanted & didn’t even play him? Should he have prioritised a centre back as we can’t stop conceding goals? Before someone asks yes I do think he should have done that whilst getting one forward & not the two we appear to be signing.
I agree , CB must be high, high priority, anything has to be better than Max, he's proved to be a shocking buy.....Todibo is now out, who knows how long for, and that leaves us already short....Going a season with just 3 recognised CB's was always going to be risky and Potter's choice of not getting another forward in has also backfired, who'd really want to join us now, I'm not so sure.....I know money talks, but hey, if they saw that yesterday......
And Nuno saying it's the worst day of his career etc etc, well, why the hell did he just sit perplexed, he's the manager, his management is simply not working or good enough, his record is worse than any pervious manager we've had and we've had a few iffy ones....
@Lukerz has been telling us all for a while, how bad things are, and I think all of us saw for ourselves, yesterday was evident of this..... Can we turn it around, yes, for sure, but will we, that's a whole other question.....
The third goal showed all our deficiencies, look at the gap between KWP & Mavropanos, which Mane runs into after easing past Magassa. That sort of stuff should’ve been sorted by Nuno & the coaches by now. It’s basic structure, positioning, organisation that you do on the training ground every day, every week. Tony Pulis, Sam Allardyce etc would get teams not defending like that, & they are pretty old school, basic managers.
That’s not good enough & on the coaches as much as the players.
I've started preparing for the Championship. I told my wife that I'll be available for any jobs she finds me to do at weekends. At least someone is happy, and you never know I might get to like not putting myself through the agony of watching West Ham lose again
Potts is a good lad, has done fairly well so far, but it’s unfair to expect or rely on him to be our starting CM EVERY game, in a relegation threatened side. Yesterday he couldn’t handle it but, to be fair, he shouldn’t be expected to this early in his PL career. The same goes for Magassa.
Fernandes, Soućek, Paquetá seems to make the most sense for Forest. Bowen - Pablo - Summerville (unfortunately) up top. Igor in for Kilman & we ‘go again’. We certainly are a weaker side without AWB & Diouf in the back four, plus Todibo.
Problem also is that NES is stubborn to the extent that he freezes out an experienced player just because he sees fit, I am not JWP biggest fan and he hardly did lots when played, however an experienced head among a young team now and then wouldn't hurt, but NES won't budge it seems....
