  • Better early part of the second half and then the inevitable happens. WHU lost another aerial battle and conceded a goal . Can't see where the next points will come from. Potter has had his time and we need a change.
  • Defending awful again, dont understand the substitutions agin, why is JWP starting again. I think potters time is up
  • What a slide we are on
  • In truth that was more of a normal game, we did not play that badly and at times looked pretty good, especially in possession, in any other season this may have gone down as just one of those days but in this season we cannot afford any more “just one of those days”

We needed more and did not get it.

We looked way to vulnerable for my liking and our centre backs looked especially shaky every time the ball came in.

The subs were strange, especially the last two, in no way did they change anything, effort, energy, shape or anything

Well at least Potter and Bowen have a definite positive to crow about tonight …… we only let in 2.

That’s if Potter is still here tonight.
  • Going to lay down in a darken room .perhaps you can let me know when potter is gone
  • It’s bad there’s no denying it,I just don’t know whether changing the manager will change anything. I’m not defending Potter I just don’t know.🤷🏻‍♂️
  • I don’t think it will, but I think it is inevitable now.

I think the lack of signings has left us with a very weak squad. I think this season is going to be a battle to stay up.

Sort of agree, but sadly he seems like he has no idea how to fix it, he's had long enough IMO, it's not all his fault, but a new face is needed....IMO
  • I see Big Sam sitting next to Alex F at the Man U game...
    😁
  • We are recreating the managerial Kalvin Phillips situation with Potter, does well at a relatively smaller club and then gets a big money move, flops and then comes to us to work out whether they were unlucky at the big club or just not very good, I wish someone else would test these big names instead of us now.

I think Potter will be gone, not just due to the results but the lack of improvement after suffering defeats that had a cause that was identifiable.

Nuno or Gary O'Neil incoming I imagine.
  • Potter and Bowen comments almost word for word from their Spurs and Chelsea ones. Just substituted the opponents names.
  • Tbh what did you expect from them?
“We’re rubbish and I don’t know what to do about it”?

@Slacker, What is they say about the definition of Insanity? Doesn’t the saying go something like “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” You could say picking JWP every game is an example of this. Another example of this is picking the wrong manager based on the same selection criteria. Manager & Captain coming out with the same comments after each defeat is insulting the intelligence of the supporters as it indicates we are stupid!
  • I do find it incredible that a side can go from the feelgood euphoria of the Forest win to then following up with 0-3 & 1-2 home defeats, with such abject performances. That should’ve been the springboard to turn it around. As usual, it was a flash in the pan with no desire to follow it up. We have such a weak mentality.

    OK.
What what you expect ( not want )them to say?

  • I remain unconvinced that our performance today was so bad, yes our heads went down at 2-1 and we looked vulnerable whenever a crossed ball came in but for a large part of the game there was little between us and I would argue that their second was against the run of play.

I was more disappointed at the ineffectiveness of the substitutions, Fullkrug tried to put himself about a bit but received no service but the later ones added absolutely nothing, it is unclear to me what the expectation or intent was, on reflection they appeared a pretty desperate throw of the dice which is actually quite worrisome
  • Kilman's shying away from heading the ball is weird, maybe he's afraid of brain damage, a reasonable fear but if you're meant to be a CB it does kinda limit your usefulness.
  • Honestly Slacker I can remember a time when Jose came out in post match interviews and said it's my fault I picked the wrong team etc. GP keeps picking JWP, why?
  • The second goal could have easily been dealt with by actually pressing the ball. I thought Potter sides did that? Everybody sat off, allowed the ball into the box & it was just so easy. Yes it was a great hit, but it was as simple as you like.

I think I’ve heard it all now.
    Are you serious man?

I think we can agree that Jose was the exception to the rule and has had more clubs than Nick Faldo.

Problem is whatever he says before or after games is making no/little difference , the results are dire ( except for Forest game ) Going forwards we are a hard watch, little excitement or speed..
Potter looks lost on the sidelines and not sure what to do.
It’s sad, but IMO reality, he should go sooner rather than later..,
Fresh face, fresh ideas are needed..
  • Slacker, man, of course I wasn't being serious. Have you been heading the ball so much that you didn't get it?
  • Personally I really want Potter to succeed; I want a manager to be with us for a good while and to build something going forward, and I actually like him and his ideas, but he's making it really difficult to keep backing him.

I said in August we wouldn’t get a point before mid October at the earliest and I was ridiculed. Luckily we somehow beat Forest or it looks as if I’d have been right.
We never look like scoring never mind winning.

But you were wrong, so the criticism was right.
  • I’d much rather be a lot more wrong than I am at the moment with the fixtures we have coming up.

Not sure anyone on this site should be criticised, it’s their opinion and all opinions should be respected IMO.. Nothing personal IH, just my view…

What is the benefit to zonal marking?

You allow the opposition a run & jump on you &, as long as the opposition avoid your big units with the delivery, you are in huge trouble. We seem to have Kilman, Mavropanos as the only (on paper) physical players. We have KWP, Summerville, JWP, Bowen who are very small & the keeper is rooted to the line. I don’t understand anything positive about marking zonally.
