Fernandes & Magassa are both better than Soucek & JWP.
Whilst I hope that to be true, I've personally seen nothing of Magassa other than YouTube clips and a half an hour cameo, so it's hard to say that definitively.
I've not seen Fernandes play as a holding midfielder and not seen Magassa play at all so couldn't say who is better than who
Fernandes did occasionally play as a CM/DM last season but was mostly an AM/LW/RW including both times we faced Southampton
Magassa played against Premier League opposition in the Champions League last season, he started against Arsenal but got subbed at half time and got 25 minutes against Villa
Missed the Spurs game as I was on a ship in the middle of some ocean .If we loose this i may go back .Anyway we need to stop all these goals from cormers .How i dont know not my job .But Potter and his team better sort it out and quick starting tomorrow
Glasner confirms that Wharton and Nketiah will be in the squad
Sarr will miss out along with GK Walter Benitez who made his Palace debut against Millwall midweek, saved two in the penalty shoot-out and dislocated his little finger
COYI for today, of course.......If we get the 3 points, a stay of execution for Potter, but if we should lose by a few, I think that'll be it for him....
Not gonna be easy, Palace are a form team, well organised under a smart manager who knows what's required.
Our record against them also isn't great from memory, hopefully today is the day to change that...
We need to at least put in a decent performance.....
Young Potts isn't in the squad. Is he injured or has he fallen out with Potter? Not sure why JWP is in the starting team and Magassa is warming the bench. In Soucek's absence we would be even more vulnerable in aerial battles.

Don't think Potts is injured, he played for the u21s in the week. I agree that Magassa should start ahead of JWP.
Can't seem to even do the basics .And that's down to Potter
I'm not sure. I think when you're conceding this many goals from corners, it's down to players not having the desire to get their head on the ball before the opponents
That familiar feeling, conceded another from a set-piece. CP goalie hasn't been called on to make a save. We have created little other than the last minute flurry. We make too many sideways and back passes and are slow. Will we have another manager tomorrow?

Subs: Hermansen (GK), Igor, Todibo, Scarles, Magassa, Rodríguez, Irving, Luis Guilherme, Füllkrug
Disappointed JWP keeps his place, I don't see what he offers, especially as we don't seem to have a heading threat at set pieces.
As if we haven't suffered enough.
Edit: Amazingly they played it short.
