    Very odd decision of Edwards to take the Wolves job as they look poor, unless he has been promised big spending in January I can't see how he will keep them up. He would have had more chance of being a Premier League manager next season had he stayed at Boro in my view. At present none of the relegated teams from last season are in the top 6 of the Championship so there are places up for grabs this season.

    He played for Wolves, and I saw an interview where he said it was his dream job, so maybe it means more to him for that reason.

    Apparently he was a Wolves supporter when he was a kid (born in Telford, half an hour's drive away)

    I admire him for wanting to manage his boyhood club, I just hope that the owners won't sack him if (if???) they get relegated

    Sincerely hope not. Manure might well go for one of two former Hammers, Michael Carrick or Frank Lampard either of whom would be a good fit for us IMHO.

    He's come from Strasbourg, Chelsea feeder club so can see why but is a risk. Then again all new appointments are risks.
