  • 2-2 now

    Penalties
  • PSG win 4-3
  • Spurs on their way to being Europe’s champions. Pity PSG are just back for pre season this week so what a time to have to play this.

    That aged……….

  • They were 2-0 up in the shootout and nutsed that up too.
  • One thing that annoyed me about this game - not the result of course, but how well Kudus played.
He was how he played initially for us but then his performances started to seem like his heart and mind were elsewhere, a mercenary attitude of using West Ham as a stepping stone, IMO of course.
  • I think he fell out with Lopetgui early on and never recovered. I do think he may have returned back to his best form had he stayed for a new season but I think he had decided he wanted out.

He may just be one of those poor attitude players that are always super motivated when arriving but when wanting a move do what is necessary to get one. In which case Spurs can expect a great player until he wants out.

It's one of the things that made me shake my head regard Declan, here we had one of the best attitudes on a player in the modern game, wanted a move but never orchestrated one and gave everything every match, taking pride in the shirt as though it were his only ever shirt whilst wearing it. Only to be booed by a section of our support.

Autonovic come to mind as another poor attitude, orchestrated a move to us gave all until wanting a move and then looked a shadow of himself.
  • I think if he was looking for a way out, playing below his best and generally not being motivated isn't going to have people queuing up to buy him and pay him a huge salary.

It's why I don't interpret his poor performances as ''angling for a move'.
  • Possibly, but I think they know clubs will remember what they have seen previously ( his first season) and take a view they are unhappy and under performing for a different reason to do with the club. Everton are taking a view that the Grealish of Villa is still there regardless of his later City performances.

I am not stating that Kudus does have an attitude issue and could have been giving his all last season but he did seem to fall out of form when Lopetgui arrived and never looked happy and then seemed determined to move as soon as the window opened.

All players have a unique personality and psychology, something that must make a managers job even more difficult. It's why the Rices and Souceks of this world are so likeable.
  • Kudus also played on the right for Spurs. He was good for us on the right, with Bowen up front.

As soon as Moyes started putting him on the left, we saw his performances become more inconsistent, though he still had some good games. Under Lopetigui though, he became fixed on the left and completely lost his form and confidence. Bowen is better than him but there was a failure to get them working together last season, despite the two of them regularly pulling us through some pretty bad performances in the last Moyes season.

if I recall correctly, Florin had fallen out with Harry as he supposedly went shopping instead of training so he struggled to get a game, the problem was he was actually quite useful and was otherwise kept out of the team by none other than Ian Dowie.

Of course when he did come on he scored a beauty against Man U and the whole ground chanted “ were you watching on the bench”

    Happy days 😀

  • When on earth did I post this 🤣🤷‍♂️🤪
  • Raducioiu denies the story is true but legend has it he took his wife Astrid Christmas shopping at Harrods and Harvey Nicks instead of taking a cold, midweek trip to Stockport County for a League Cup 4th round replay (Wednesday 18 December 1996)

Raducioiu scored in the 1-1 draw at home

In the replay Julian Dicks scored from a corner, Iain Dowie equalised with a classic own goal and Brett Angell scored the winner, all in the first half hour. After that they parked the bus
  • I've just realised that West Ham could be on for a Guinness Book of Records entry. They've already let Sunderland score their first goal of the season, and could do the same for Chelsea on Friday and possibly Wolves midweek. Any stats on this?
PS it might be best to keep quiet about this 🤔 🤔😉😷
  • A quiz to name all of our PL goalkeepers. I got 17 of 25, and there were two more I’m annoyed I forgot, and another two I knew but don’t remember them ever playing.

  • Latest super computer prediction has us bottom with 25 points.
  • Latest super computer prediction has us bottom with 25 points.

FWIW, these predictions are typically based off of a machine learning model that predicts results, which uses historic data to make its predictions. Given there has been 1 round of games, and there are still tonnes of variables that we are yet to see materialise, I would take that with much more than a grain of salt.
  • Latest super computer prediction has us bottom with 25 points.

I'm guessing that's 5 points more than you predict thorn. 😂
  • Last week it had us at 15th but obviously was watching Saturdays debacle and fed itself a “this lot are useless” input.
IH my initial prediction was 48 points but that included 3 from Saturday so I readjust to 45 which it will remain after Friday.
  • I never understand these predictors, or super computers as they like to be called, that change game on game. It just means that will always be right in the end, just like Winviz on the cricket, pointless.
  • As the saying goes either all computers, GIGO.
We put a lot of garbage in on Saturday.
  • Blimey. Is the Sam Byram just coming on for Leeds OUR Sam Byram?
  • Nice to see Josh Cullen doing well today.
  • So the refs have been instructed to clamp down on holding in the box and the first beneficiaries are, you've guessed, Man United.
  • And Fernandes fires over haha
  • That was so nice to see!
  • At last Tommy Fleetwood gets over the line. Good on him.

    Bring on the Ryder Cup
  • The first article on the OS made me smile "Kilman we'd love a cup run"....wouldn't we all.
  • At this stage a last 32 would probably constitute a cup run to get excited about.
  • I see Ings has gone to Sheffield United on loan.

I see Ings has gone to Sheffield United on loan.

He has come to them at the wrong time of their cycle, which is drop down the Championship table sack the manager and appoint Chris Wilder, he takes them up but then gets relegated and is then sacked, and then repeat.
