Couldn't think - June 2025 onwards

So, Club World Cup, anyone watched any of it? Personally I'm not interested in it in the slightest, I haven't watched a minute of it.

  • Me neither.
  • And that's a no from me
  • Very watchable so far but the matches in the early hours are tiring 😉😄.
  • Not interested.
  • I had no appetite to watch it. I don't even know who's in it.
  • It’s just one of Infantile’s cash generators but without much in the way of fans interest.

Yeah, I really can't stand the bloke, I disagree with nearly everything he does.
  • As most on here it would appear rather close their curtains than watch the Club World Cup has anyone been watching any of the Euro Under 19 & 21 tournaments for the Women & Men?

Yeah, I've watched a bit but not religiously.

  • Nope, not that either!
  • Is that the competition where all the spectator seats are empty
  • An interview with Alan Curbishley just arrived on Youtube

  • Curbs making clear his two big regrets were leaving West Ham too early as both a player and a coach. He speaks of the Tevez period, Di Canio at Charlton and Scott Parker. They speak of the difference in pre season training from then and now, ' we used to run around Epping Forest, forever! chasing Billy Bonds who was always the fittest'.
  • Really interesting film, I love it when you get those little insights as to what really goes on behind the scenes.
Blimey though, I would never have recognised Alan Hudson.I feel right old now.
  • Max Verstappen out on the first lap of the Austrian Greand Prix, happy days 😊😊😊.
  • Not for him me thinks =)
  • I watch very little tennis through the year, but do sometimes watch a bit of Wimbledon. Is it just Boulter that fist pumps almost every winning point, or is it something that's crept into the game? I find it extremely annoying and it's making me want to switch off a match I should want to watch.
  • buffy, I am more irritated by Kristie Mewis leaving the Womens team after having only played four times in a season & a half! I will acknowledge she did announce she was pregnant last November but hardly made an appearance before that hence only 4 games. How much has she cost us?

I've no idea how much our female players get paid; I'm sure it's a drop in the ocean compared to the men, but, as you rightly point out, she's hardly provided value for money.

I know it's a huge can of worms, and possibly it would be illegal under employment legislation, but are "pregnancy clauses" part of contracts for professional sportswomen?
  • Enough of all this Club World Cup malarky, finally some real football:

  • When did Grealish move to China?
  • Daily Mail (I know) reckons West Ham v Chelsea will be moved from 3pm Saturday 23rd August to 8pm Friday 22nd August after Sky got permission from the Met to switch
  • And so it begins......
  • New home kit out now. Apart from the horrible sponsor logos, both the new Boyle Sports and that horribble green blob again, I think it's quite nice, if it wasn't supposed to be our playing kit. Are blue arms really too much to ask for?

  • I love it, just ordered 3 complete sets.!🎉❤️⚒️
  • There's nothing wrong with it but in my view no one in the design team has earmarked themselves for promotion!
  • I hate it

Without the sponsors, as a training kit or somesuch I quite like it, but for representing our club colours it's a really bad choice imo.
  • Don’t like the sponsor - I always associate Boyle Sports with relegation. Crest should be all silver.
