  • And now it's 2.

Although should be ruled out as an offside Sheffield player is really close to the keeper.
And it is ruled out, still 1-0.

  • 8 mins added at the end of the first half ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚
  • Sunderland level with 15 mins to go.
  • Another good goal
  • Should be a fun finish
  • 7 added minutes to find a winner before extra time.
  • Scottish Cup Final between Aberdeen and Celtic goes to extra time, 1-1 after 90 minutes with each team scoring an own goal ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚.
  • Sunderland score
  • 1-2 FT. Yay, Sunderland win ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š, and, more importantly, Sheffield Utd lose ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Who are the Sunderland players we are surposed to be interest in

    Rigg and Watson.
  • Watson has already joined Brighton?

That was quick .How did Brighton get him to sign when he was still on the pitch =) Thanks Herb
  • What a result, feel really sorry for Sheffield ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ we probably wonโ€™t get him now but I have seen a decent number of Sunderland games and would have looked at Mayenda
  • I think their LB, Cirkin, is a decent player; Sunderland's late season run of poor form coincided with him missing games with, I think, a hamstring injury.
  • Scottish Cup Final between Aberdeen and Celtic goes to extra time, 1-1 after 90 minutes with each team scoring an own goal ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Aberdeen win on penalties. It was Kasper Schmeichel with the complete howler of an own goal in the 83rd minute that cost Celtic a win in regulation time, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
  • Still trying to imagine why Aslef got to Cardiff a year early.
  • Alzheimerโ€™sโ€ฆ
  • Aston Villa really stitched up at Old Trafford by a poor referee who has previous for major errors ๐Ÿ˜ž.
  • It may end up serving them as if they are in the Europa next season they will have a chance of lifting it, where as in the Champions league they would have been also rans I feel. It's much the same with Forest who have gone all Spursy since the CL became a real possibility and contrived to throw it away, but for allowing Leicester a draw at home they would be in the CL. They will however have a real chance of lifting the conference as we did, and it will mean a lot more than being beat by some big names in the CL.
  • Also, the Sunday-Thursday schedule has a deleterious impact on PL performance.

So that weakens our opposition right off the bat. And we need all the help we can get!

I prefer to look at it as being Martinezโ€™s fault for his ridiculous tackle outside the box and making his team play for 45 minutes with a man down. Couldnโ€™t have happened to a nicer bloke.
  • MIA, If Areola was put in a similar position by a bad back pass would you rather he let the goal in?

    Yes from me.

Whilst I share your sentiments towards Martinez, the ref has made an absolute howler by blowing too soon and preventing VAR from having a look. He's almost certainly cost Villa Champions League football in that one mistake, so it's probably a ยฃ50-100m mistake because he's bad at his job. Officials are, for instance, told not to flag for off-side immediately but to let that phase of play run it's course, so there's no excuse for blowing so quickly, it's a shocker.

I know anyone can make a mistake, but the reffing this season seems to be incredibly poor. Our ref last week was dreadful, and, by googling him, this guy has made some other bad decisions as well. The PGMOL really needs to up its standards, but, given that they basically answer to no-one, I'm not holding my breath.

Buffy, but the ref was sure ( one supposes). Why wouldn't he blow the whistle?

I'm a var fan, but I don't want refs to make no decisions so that the var can check it.

Plus, the var review might not have judged it a clear and obvious error,(it's not like that's never happened and divided opinion)
  • Ooh, I'm on a train with lots of Wimbledon fans
There's old man bantz going on ๐Ÿ‘€
  • I say that.

    They're probably my age ๐Ÿ˜‚

The whole procedure needs looking at. The other week per the instructions play went on at Forest and a player ended up being seriously injured something most people said would happen due to the way officials are told to operate. Some referees hide behind VAR to dig themselves out of trouble when they are unsure. It was a clear and obvious error, but knowing the PGMOL they will find a way to put a spin on it and protect Mr Bramall, who is from Sheffield and weren't United sawn off by a decision years ago which meant Villa stayed up? Just saying.

If the ref was sure then he was completely wrong, wasn't he? 2 seconds he had to wait, that was all, it wasn't as if the play was going anywhere after the shot, was it?

However you look at it, he made a huge mistake, and one that was completely avoidable if he wasn't such an idiot/bad ref.
