    No, can't blame Fab. Mavropanos can't play ball into an area without looking; keeper can't be at fault. He did well to try to bail the defender out without giving away a pen,imo.

    We'll have to agree to disagree then. Whilst Mavropanos shoulda put more on the backpass, we don't concede with Areola in goal imo. I don't see how Zouma gets a free pass either tbh, if he tracks their player that he had a 3 yard head start on, again no problem.

    Tbf he did well to get a foot on it (it was a miss hit shot by Soucek rather than a pass) and it was a bit more than 2 feet out.

    We're getting a fair bit of possession now, but the problem is we're not used to playing with a lot of the ball and we're missing the creative players to unlock a set defence.

    Ings looked so slow there.

    The fall off in quality is so bad. Teams like Brighton can have a dozen players out and still look a decent outfit we lose 3 attackers and look total tinpot.
