  • Winning tonight won’t guarantee winning the group as we’d still need another point.

    a) why doesn't Coufal shoot.
    b) why can't Fornals shoot

Two good openings, but no 3rd goal yet.

That's always been a weakness of Coufal. He has no confidence. He's like a deer caught on the headlights whenever he's in on goal.
Coufal in the final third is woeful. Works hard, but refuses to shoot and his crossing is so bad.

RB is a slight issue now, IMO. Coufal, Johnson and Kehrer are very solid defensively, but don't offer a lot in the opposition half.

Dawson now hobbling. Good night for the CBs.

Yeah, although he's played on after he and Downes went down, he's definitely not moving very freely.
  • Silkeborg now 5 up!!!!

Soucek being readied to come on.

He's on for the struggling Dawson.
  • As they were last week. Their goal difference must be impressive.
  • Back three of Johnson Rice and Emerson now. Fornals at LWB.

Luckily for us Anderlecht have been garbage.

Looks like a flat back 4 with Rice and Johnson as CBs, Soucek into midfield and Emerson to LB.
  • Has there ever been a more disrupted second half of football?
  • Winning tonight won’t guarantee winning the group as we’d still need another point.

I know, but much less pressure going onto those last two games being 4 wins from 4.

Well, at least we haven't had twonks running on to... Oh.

FCSB getting smashed back to back 5-0s against Silkeborg
  • Penalty to Anderlecht.

Never, ever a penalty, but you know, European football.
  • Penalty for Anderlecht despite the fact that Johnson took the ball cleanly.
  • Johnson penalised for winning the ball

We need to hang on here. We can’t afford to concede another. The Belgian kicked Johnson’s foot and he got booked and we suffered from no VAR in the Conference cup.

Pearce on commentary has only said West Ham will think it's a soft penalty; how about saying it's a dreadful decision as Johnson won the ball?
  • Just goes to show that a game's not done until it's done. Touch of complacency in this second half.
  • BBC reporting trouble in the stands. Seats being thrown etc. Flares.
  • 👖 😳
  • Weird 2nd half. Was like an international friendly
  • Most comprehensive 2-1 ever

Three Premier League games before Silkeborg rock up at the London Stadium for a match we can't afford to lose? Trouble is it is 3 days after we play Bournemouth so the squad is going to have to play it's part.
  • Let’s hope Dawson’s knock is not too bad. We’ve settled nicely on a back four with Kehrer at RB, we don’t really want to change it again.
  • Stroll in the park really, but we should’ve killed them off long before the “penalty “.

Arch dropped off half way through the second half btw.💤🐕

These games have been a bit weird in general. They're games we know we should win, but probably aren't giving them 100% because of the league games four days later. We've had four 'get the job done' performances now, which is arguably all we needed. Hopefully the knock-out rounds will bring more.

In all honesty the squad has already been playing its part in these European fixtures; we've generally made a lot of changes from our PL starting 11, and we won't feel too much pressure againt Silkeborg as they'll need to win (a point sees us win the group), and even a point in our last fixture against the group whipping boys FCSB will be enough should we fail against Silkeborg.

Don't you think that's overstating it a bit.
  • I wonder what the repercussions will be of the crowd trouble.
