Hope this doesn't mean Areola will only get the league cup game(s). Would've thought this was a good opportunity to give him a game.

Kral for Rice/Soucek would also have been a good idea, IMO. Blood him in a competition he's familiar with and give one of the main men a rest ahead of Man Utd.

Find it odd re Areola, why loan him then, unless it's for next season, but just for perhaps league and F A Cup seems poor and not really worth it, Randolph is not that bad....
But who am I to judge though, more than happy to see our 'little gem' feature..COYI....

I think we need to expect a bit of rotation in the squad. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more. Noble or Kral for example.

I think we looked to it for an idea of priorities and I think that's the confusing bit, on one level it looks prioritised with Rice and Soucek playing and Fab in goal, but then we have Diop, Fredricks and Lanzini in there.

I’m not surprised by the team at all. We’ve been talking about needing European football to have any chance of keeping the likes of Soucek and Rice, so resting them for European games seems counter productive.
