So Sky and VAR have every possible camera angle all over the pitch, but cannot use them to see if a ball goes out of play. But if Gary Neville says it, it must be true!!!
Got the rub of the green in the previous matches but I would have "loved it" if we had won today but sad we had to have a few poor decisions go against when playing the team that feel they have a divide right to win every game or at least the majority of their supporters believe they do. Do you get the impression I am not a big fan of the Red Devils or OGS.
But we should have taken our chances. Fornals first chance and Bowen’s at the start of the second half both should have gone in. I know there appears to be some debate over Haller’s, but I really think that would have been chalked off had he put it away - that said, if he doesn’t slip then at least they have a decision to make.
We also should have defended the goals better. Pogba was in acres of space for the first, and Ogbonna was about 5 yards behind the rest of the defence for the third. The second was a great finish tbf, not sure we could have done a huge amount about that one. Thing with the first goal is that it came from a loose ball by (I think) fornals, and if (I think) Bowen hadn’t chased it down Henderson probably takes a touch and doesn’t launch it forward.
We deserved more today, we deserved less on Monday.
I said on Monday that we may have used up all our luck for this season in that one game. We certainly had none tonight but I hope it just equalled out Monday and is not going to continue.

I thought GNev said he didn't know?
He may have. My comment was more about Sky/VAR using the technology when it suits them.
I thought we played pretty well. We all rue missed chances but no teams score all their chances. Fernandes is already my Player of the Season, he is just brilliant and made the difference tonight. I don't understand this 'we were lucky against Villa so we won't be against United' theory. We were in the game until their second went in, and the fact it came so quickly after the first always makes it harder to respond.
I would have thought the linesman’s first job is to check whether the ball goes out of play or not. They don’t flag for offside anyway unless the ball goes in when VAR checks anyway so why was he bothering to see if Fernandes was offside or not.
Man U were simply a better side once they'd swapped Van De Beek, Martial and Cavani for Rashford, Mata and Fernandes. We totally dominated the first half but were outclassed in the second.
One positive is that Benrahma and Haller seemed to be linking up well, there were a couple of little moves between them that suggested there may be a lot more to come from that combination.
I think we might see Benrahma start ahead of Bowen or Fournals on Friday.

Disgusting.

A fair assessment I think. Never a better example of the old saying "Goals change matches"
